So who's doing Advent of Code this year?
I've been to the Board Game Festival today, seen and tried some nice games, picked up some more at a good discount. Great stuff all around:)
Doing some digital housekeeping. I generally consider myself a well-ordered person, but different things still accumulate if they are not sorted into their places almost immediately.
What stage of Fedi-evolution is it if I'm starting my own static site generator? :')
Quick survey:
Are people here familar with fantasy(-retro-)consoles and if so, which one(s) and that's your experience (comment below)?
It's a rare website that sparks delight, @eltheanine 's homepage is one of these for me. I won't spoil why, check it out and maybe it'll be the same for you:

(beware the light mode)
Raise your hand if you'd rather hand-code HTML than use a not full-featured built-in wysiwyg editor.
I just saw there was name change on the mobile app store: "Microsoft Edge: AI browser" -- and I just doubled the length of my not-touching-pole.
Attending a Go tournament again after a while (had to miss the last few) and this one has handicap, so it's more equal chances.
"touching vinyl" should be a similar expression to "touching grass"
(co-idea with @rl_dane )
Started looking a bit more closely into #Lua
The push was some scripting I wanted to do for Tabletop Simulator, but I also used it some outside of that. It's a nice language, after a few muscle-memory trip-ups (index, different subscripts) I'm getting the hang of it.
Curious:
Any Go/Weiqi/Baduk players on Polymaths?
Everyone familiar with the sitcom exclamation "We should buy a bar!" ?
Good.
I feel like the nerd equivalent is: "We should build a browser!" xD
Programmers out there: does anyone else get the urge to rewrite every spreadsheet to a program that displays a table?
I saw a poster ad for a phone with AI added. I think this is great advertising. It tells me I don't need to consider it, right below the name.
Went to the Budapest Board Game Expo today, it was great fun. Looked at lots of interesting games and played two of them, both before publication: An airplane-based 2p cooperative, fast paced one; and a big and complex monster-fighting one.
I also started writing some #Zig, @sotolf's recent mentions got me motivated to implement my the project I planned to try it out with (a diceware passphrase generator).
Not technically my first time writing it, I played around with it a little before, but that wasn't a serious attempt (not that I'm getting too deeply into it atm either, yet).
I just did my first project with **readable.css** and I'm as happy with it as I suspected I was gonna be. Looks really nice out of the gate and I could easily make the one width adjustment I needed.
Thank you @freedomtowrite and @amin for the work.
