Welcome to the wondrous world of pocket notebooks @thelinuxcast, you'll find many enthusiasts here :)
@amin @nantucketlit
I found something interesting while scanning over my mail today:)
Just compiled the #LadybirdBrowser to have a look, it's coming along nicely.
I *technically* still had a dual-boot system, because a few years ago I needed it for some schoolwork. But since the bloat was becoming deprecated bloat, it was high time to get around to removing it.
The newest part of the refactoring for the wave simulator added some more fun presets. I'm also planning to add free combination of the options so that one can try out different interactions.

When passing arguments to a function (in an unspecified weakly typed language without named parameters) be sure to pass them in the correct order. Kind reminder for no particular reason:)
My wave simulator has a few "for fun" options I kept around from old versions that were then broken in fun ways.
With the cleanup now, they changed (one even fixed itself again), so I have to figure out what exactly they did wrong so that I can recreate them with the new code.
I revived a little browser-based wave simulation program I wrote all the way back around 2012:

It took a lot of cleaning up to get rid of all the fixed divs and pre-ES6 vars, but it's nearing an acceptable state.
The headline
"Microsoft accidentally deletes Copilot"
should have read:
"In a shocking twist, Windows improves"
Fun fact i randomly thought of:
The exclamation "huzzah!" in English is pronounced closely to how we say "(to) home" in #Hungarian .
Programming language names accidentally line up with grades in chronological (and maybe in level-of-effort) order:
A for APL
B (or for BCPL)
C
D
F for F#
I was wary of making any modifications to how my timeline worked, but I finally decided to turn off replies, and it's great, it's much less cluttered and more managable. Of course it helps that I follow the people and read the threads those replies would be on, anyway.
I just deployed my first little webserver to Uberspace.
(I know this is mostly trivial there, but I hope @amin is still a little bit proud:)
I've been going through my GitHub and removing all my source repos. (You know the reason(s).) My primary was already Codeberg, but I haven't gotten around to deleting the GH mirrors.
I wish I could delete the account, but it's still needed for some stuff. E.g. it's still the *most sane* login option for Advent of Code---not optimal.
Okay, it's time. I was able to handle #Nautilus crashing if I did too many things, if too many tabs/windows were open for too long, and I was able to adjust to that. But it just took all of GNOME down with it, twice, so that's over the line.
So can I please have some recommendations for usable and reliable #FileManager-s?
(This is for graphical, which I use for some use cases, I already use ranger and Filezilla for others.)
Just finished setting up a Vademecum Commonplace Book.
It's a pocket notebook that contains interesting texts, poems, and quotes. I've carried some of it for a long while as I just like to have stuff like this with me on paper.
But for people who struggle with pulling out their phone in every half a minute of idle time, this can also prove an alternative that is more inspiring and possibly less distracting. (This last idea came from some nice YT videos on this topic.)
If someone wants to scroll down to the very beginning of the local timeline, they still can, so savor it before everyone is properly migrated and Hellthreadia kicks back in:)
