Another week without posting ... So it's time for another summary!

Bento 132 - Rice, turkey and a Mutschel

Image

Monday's bento: Rice, turkey, carrot-kohlrabi salad, a tangerine and a mini Mutschel. The orange bunny container holds a bit of butter for the Mutschel.

A Mutschel, by the way, is a yeast pastry that is unique to my hometown, Reutlingen. They are only available around Epiphany. I missed them a lot the past years when I wasn't at home during the time, and so I decided to make them myself this year. And of course I can't help making miniature versions for bento!

I actually did not eat this bento ... Because when I got on the bus that morning I dropped the box, and it opened and everything scattered all over the steps of the bus :(.

Bento 133 - Rice, salmon and two Mutscheln

Image

Tuesday's bento: Rice, salmon, two Mutscheln, an egg flower and carrot-kohlrabi salad. Bunny container with butter hidden behind the egg flower.

Since I hadn't eaten the bento the day before I made almost the same again. This time I could eat it :p.

Bento 134 - De-constructed chicken sandwich

Image

Wednesday's bento: Turkish bread, lettuce, rotisserie chicken, tomato and cucumber slices.

To avoid that the bread got mushy over night (and so it looked prettier) I just put everything in the box separately and then assembled it at meal time. That worked well ^^.

Bento 134 - Yakisoba, Mutscheln and tangerine

Image

Thursday's bento: Yakisoba with bacon and vegetables, two Mutscheln and about one and a half tangerine in slices.

Yakisoba has become such a bento staple for me. It's easy to make, it's tasty even when cold and I also get to have some of it for dinner :p.

No bento on Friday because I wasn't feeling well, so I had no energy to cook.

Sieht alles wie immer sehr lecker aus. :)
Und was sind diese Mutscheln, also du hast es erklärt, aber hab' ich richtig verstanden, dass das eine Art Hefegebäck ist? Süß, oder? Und wie kriegt man diese Form hin?
