I love the IndieWeb 🧡. For a lot of reasons—but one thing I particularly enjoy (as I’ve mentioned here and here for example) is the practice of “link-dumping”. Links are great, and in a world where search engines have just become essentially AI summary slop machines, having real, hard links to actual websites made by humans is a valuable thing. But discovery is tough. Singularly finding NON-AI slopsites is an exercise in itself. But collectively, we can make surfing easier and dare I say, kinda fun again?

This brings me back to this concept of link dumps. It’s easy enough to understand—all it is, is where you put a bunch of links to other things on the web and publish/share it (typically on your own site, but honestly could work in a social media setting too). Done! Sharing links is a great way to strengthen the interconnected “web” of the Internet, lessen reliance on big tech “search” (heavy sarcasm here) engines, boost other creators work, build community, and discover awesome people and things on the web. Who wouldn’t like that!?

A few things to note about what makes a link dump. It just needs to be a bunch of links. Easy. It doesn’t HAVE to be published weekly or at any set cadence and it can really just be in a list or, if you want, could have more narrative style to it. So, here we go! Below is a link dump of link dumps! Happy surfin’ 🤙

A list of link dumps from cool indieweb folks (in no real particular order).

If you’ve got your own link dump or link log thingy you want added to this list feel free to reach out!
