I chose to share Does a Kangaroo have a Mother too? by Eric Carle. Everyone loves Eric Carle!!! He is most famous for some of his other books, but there are so many others that are just as good!
The pictures will capture their attention! My daughter is only 16 months old, and she LOVES this book already!
This would be perfect for so many lessons.. but I use this book when talking about mommas and their offspring. We use our Interactive Science Journals to match the baby to its mother.
