Digital Classroom Collection
The Digital Classroom core collection contains a set of quality digital reference resources that have been evaluated for their usefulness in supporting B.C. curriculum and instruction. Members have the option to license additional à la carte resources at special pricing.
Teachers and students can access these resources from school or home.
Digital Classroom Technical Support
Focused Education provides tools and information to make it easier for districts and schools to access the Digital Classroom licensed resources. Several resources are for direct teacher instructional use only. These require a one-time authentication code to create a teacher account. Login with your Focused Education member account to access these special authentication codes.
Use our analytics tool to track your district and school usage to inform professional learning activities and decisions on device support requirements.
K-12 Evaluated Resource Collection

Student AI Literacy Lessons K-12
Newly developed for September 2025!
Artificial Intelligence functionalities are everywhere now and it is important that our educators and students have basic understandings of how to use AI tools safely, ethically and responsibly.
To help with this, our PLT and a team of BC teachers have created a series of 21 lessons and associated activities designed to give teachers and students that baseline knowledge.
I Am Because We Are
A Grades 6-9 Learning Resource about Black Canadians
I Am Because We Are is an online learning resource for Grades 6-9 students and their teachers, based on British Columbia curriculum and informed by Ubuntu philosophy and principles. The title of this resource, I Am Because We Are, originates from that philosophy.
The resource was created as part of a response to a call for a more inclusive and reflective curriculum. This call was made in particular by Black students, their families, teachers, activists and community who recognize that Black history is Canadian history, and has an integral place in our schools.
Focused Education acknowledges the work of teachers and collaborators on this project who endeavoured to do this work respectfully, and with honour to those it would serve and support. We worked with Open School B.C. to present the work in a rich, engaging format.
We acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Education and Child Care.
Student Cybersecurity Lessons
Developed for teachers, by teachers within Canada, the Fortinet Security Awareness Curriculum supports students in learning how to apply cybersecurity skills to their digital interactions at school, at home and everywhere they go.
These lessons are free and available to all educators.
Board/Authority Authorized (BAA) Course Database
Focused Education hosts the BAA Course database for jurisdictions that deliver B.C. curriculum . Boards/Authorities may choose to submit and share approved BAA courses. Boards/Authorities are responsible for uploading courses, maintaining version control and for requesting the removal of any delisted courses.
Any school or district accessing BAA courses on the Sharing Platform must seek approval from their Board or Authority to deliver the course locally, as per your existing policy for BAA courses.

Anti-Racism Learning Resources
Focused Education worked with an advisory committee to identify and/or develop resources aligned with BC’s K-12 curriculum that improve the representation of racialized communities and promote a more comprehensive understanding of anti-racism, human rights, and diverse cultural experiences, histories, and contributions. The resources reviewed for this project represent a “snapshot in time” (May 2022) and we acknowledge that new and valuable resources are being created all the time and therefore are not reflected in this summary.
