July Photo 3

Image This is my best fireworks shot that really had some red, white and blue in it. :-) Lovely show, once again, by the shores of Lake Granbury!

May Photo 10

Image Here is what J won off the radio. For me! He called in on Tuesday in the "mad dash for Mom" where he had to slam a door, turn up the TV, and flush a toilet in 30 seconds. He did it in 13! ;-) He won a large pizza for his efforts. Then he and the other winners were put in a drawing for this package.

Included was this Paka Bear---a bear made of alpaca fur. They say on the website that it's the softest bear ever---and really, I believe it! Now I know why those people seem so crazy for alpacas on the commercials. Check out their website! This bear was a big one, about $90. Wow!!

The other thing was worth $185!! It's a spa day with pedicure, facial, massage, and wine. wooHoo!! Can you believe he won that?

Day 1---Tuesday

Image I did what any southern gal would have done---I cooked up a mess of black-eyed peas for the New Year. My own concoction was simple---a bag of dried peas, one jalepeno (my Texas influence), leftover ham from Thanksgiving (which was frozen), some salt, some pepper. After getting the peas ready to simmer (I just followed the directions on the back of the package), I added all the stuff in a pot and simmered for about an hour and a half.

Happy New Year!

Day 364---Monday, the last day of 2007

Image This is what B and I celebrated with this New Year's Eve. Larry and J went ot a lock-in, so it was just us girls at home. It's non-alcoholic, and tasted like fizzy apple juice. Goodbye, 2007!

Day 183---Wednesday RW&B

Tabblo: Red White and Blue

These are my red, white and blue pictures from the 4th.  I went to Granbury, Texas, for the Hometown parade.  It was a good parade, all my companions and I decided.  ... See my Tabblo>

Day 96---Sunday

Image It is impossible to take a good picture of an egg hunt. Our tradition is to hunt eggs in the morning before church----the Easter Bunny hides them for us! so the kids just got up and hunted for eggs frantically, trying to get more than the other. There were plenty of eggs to find this year!
