Texas Fairy Tales
We read Bubba and the Cowboy Prince and created a Venn Diagram to compare it to Cinderella.
We also wrote about our favorite part.
The Gingerbread Cowboy was our favorite! We made our own gingerbread cowboy's and sequence the events in the story to create a flow map.
We also read Armadilly Chili and compared it to The Little Red Hen. We ate chili and made a graph so show if we liked it or not.

Simbolos de Texas
The students created Texas symbols in my partner teacher's class. I had them label the symbols in Spanish and put them on our Social Studies content board in my room. During Bilingual Centers the students use the board to illustrate and label Texas Symbols as a review of our Texas unit.

Texas Graphs
We read Armadilly Chili and tasted Chili?
Do You Like Chili?
We read Gingerbread Cowboy and ate Gingerbread cookies.
Then we created a Gingerbread Bite Graph. Which part of the cookie did you bite first?
We read Chicks and Salsa and tasted salsa, ranch, and queso. Then we created a graph to show our favorite dip. What dip do you like the best?

Bubba And The Cowboy Prince
We read Bubba and the Cowboy Prince. Then, we created a Venn Diagram to compare Bubba to Cinderella.
Armadillo Rodeo
We read Armadillo Rodeo and colored a cowboy boot. Then we wrote descriptive sentences about our boots.
Cowboy Camp
We read Cowboy Camp and created cowboys. Then we wrote a sentence to tell why we would make a good cowboy.
Gingerbread Cowboy
We read Gingerbread Cowboy and created a flow map to re-tell the events in the story. We also created our own Gingerbread Cowboys.
