Taylored Expressions: Timeless Blooms!

Today is the last Tuesday of the month and that means it’s the new kit day over at Taylored Expressions! This is also the last kit of the year!! I would recommend you not delay if you are interested in this one 🙂

This kit is called Timeless Blooms and goodness does it whip up some beauties!

Image

The key to making these cards was a very light hand when blending the ink colors, almost to the point of: Can you see the ink? Ha! But as it layered and built up, it became a lovely, soft look and I’m glad I was patient!

Image

I overlaid this first one with the Diamonds Piercing Plate for texture and interest. I also cut a small piece of vellum with the All Planned Out 4 Die Set to underlay the sentiment. Otherwise, I kept it pretty simple.

Image

Some twine and these lovely new Bits & Pieces – Rose Glitter Drops! I need to remember to order more this week–eep!
Image

This second card I made using lots of the Arched Stacklets.
Image

These colors created such a soft and sweet blend!

Image

Again, I went with some simple twine to finish it off and it’s ready to send!

Image

This kit would make lovely gift card sets! I hope I find some time to make some of these for holiday gifts this year. It’s a gift that keeps on giving into the world! 🙂

Be sure to pop over to the TE Blog and website for all the details today.

Taylored Expressions: Raining Cats & Dogs KitS! Plural!

Today is the last Tuesday of the month and that means it’s the new kit day over at Taylored Expressions! There’s a little something for everyone–because it’s Raining Cats & Dogs!

First up, is the Dog kit–it’s called Dog Gone Cute! These little puppies came to play! My favorites are the two on the far left–I can’t help but laugh at those guys.

Image

I thought it would be fun to use a couple tennis balls from the Little Bits-Tennis set. I love the juxtaposition of scales between the balls and the pups–too cute!
Image

The Mini Slim size works perfectly for this design set up. Too cute!

Next up, let’s get out the yarn balls with the Meow & Forever Kit! These cats are adorable and the little additions from the Little Bits-Pet Accessories –yarn, mice, etc. are a delight to add to the card for extra little bits–check out that little party hat! I have to remember it’s in this set for sure.

Image

I used the cutting plate (Meow & Furever Cutting Plate Dieto emboss these little cuties vs. diecutting them. It always reminds me of puffy stickers! It’s fun to mix things up! 🙂
Image

Sending Paw-sitive Vibes–love it! Also, it should be noted, I realized I only used three ink pads! It’s a first! 🙂

Taylored Expressions: O Christmas Tree Kit!

Today is the last Tuesday of the month and that means it’s the new kit day over at Taylored Expressions! This one will make you feel like it’s time to start finding all the Christmas décor and the snow shovel!

Image

Taylored Expressions is releasing the O Christmas Tree Cardmaking Kit today and this means it’s Christmas in July!

First up, I thought it would be fun to go for a myriad of colors–ultimately resulting in a rainbow of fruit flavors!

Image

I first stamped the snowflakes in a rainbow ombre and then came back and put the tree in to stamp that by itself. With this stamp being two parts, it’s WAY easy to do this! Such a great detail!
Image

The last step is using the layering stencils to color in the tree itself. I used a handful of green inks to layer these in and then added rainbow ornaments with the last stencil layer, covering those with Happy Medium – Glitter – Iridescent Glitter. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo, but in person, it gives that little shimmer of glitter delight!
Image

I used the TE Teal Embossing Pad Kit to give my tree an outline vs cutting it all out. However, I used the wrong sandwich in my machine (oops!), so it die cut out parts while just embossing the others. I ran with it, popping up parts with foam tape and leaving the others flat. Just a little something different in the end. 🙂

Don’t forget the partridge in the pear tree! Ack–adorable! I threw in a partridge and a pear for good fun! You can grab that die set called Winter Birds Die Set and add it on to your kit, or use it outside the kit. I am going to try and do that soon too! 🙂

Next up, I thought we needed to see a pink tree!  I die cut this one out and added all the gifts down below, along with a cute little bird from the Winter Birds Die Set.Image

I created the background panel with the previously released Embossing Folder – Favorite Sweater. So cozy!
Image

The sentiments in the Mini Strips- Holiday 2 (included in the kit), are perfect to add on and mix them up! 🙂
Image

By diecutting the tree, you can mix up your arrangements on the card. As you can see, I gave this one a little nudge to the left. 😉 But you can also have them partially on your card and cut off one side–something to try myself someday.

As always, don’t forget the Envelope Seals!! I enjoy that final step for sending Christmas cards in the mail.

Be sure to pop over to the TE Blog and website for all the details today.

Taylored Expressions: Seeds & Such Kit!

Today is the last Tuesday of the month and that means it’s the new kit day over at Taylored Expressions! Each kit is such fun to work with and I love the ideas that come out of TE! 🙂

Taylored Expressions is releasing the Seeds & Such Cardmaking Kit today and it is not only summerific but perfect for those who love to garden or EAT the veggies–LOL!!

I couldn’t resist giving them all the faces and googley eyes! One of the fun things about this kit is that the seed packet (largest) stamps are on the same red rubber background.  The coordinating die cuts these out exactly as they should be cut, if you don’t trim it apart. f you do trim it apart, you can definitely gain some versatility. However, I loved that I could pull out the center pieces and give them a little shading before popping them right back in place and adding some stitching.

ImageThis kit is so fun! I can’t wait to circle back and use the Veggie Dies! 🙂 Also, the kit comes with a set of Insiders–and they are oh so fun and punarific! (You can also purchase more of those outside of the kit, 😉😉)

Image

All the little faces are from the Here Comes the Sun stamp set. (Except the tiny faces–Those are from the Snailed It Kit.)
Image

I can’t even with all these cuties! Haaaa! The little peas below I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to give them some simple dimension. So fun!
Image

I created simple backdrops for all of these seed packets to sit upon. I have all of those embossing folders and cover plates included in my supplies below.
Image

I thought they all turned out so fun! I’m looking forward to mailing a couple of these out this week.

Image

How cute are these veggies!? I really enjoy them! 🙂
Image Image Image

As always, don’t forget the Envelope Seals!! I need to be sure to snag a few of those myself–Such fun!

Taylored Expressions: Talking in Circles!

There is a new and fabulous kit over at Taylored Expressions today!  It’s called Talking in Circles and it is definitely an all time kit fave! I could craft for days with this one! Be sure to check it all out at Taylored Expressions! The Creative Team is sure to have a boatload of inspiration!

Image

Hence–let’s get started with things in full circle! The full circles and the quarter pieces kind of remind me of the Trivial Pursuit game pieces. 😂

Image

I die cut a boatload of pieces because I wanted to  tinker around and have everything ready to do. You can easily organize your pieces in the TE Simple Storage for Tiny Things. The pieces don’t all go flying around. I arranged mine by color and combined multiple die cuts. I’ll add my Alpha die cuts in too when I get those sorted, some rainy day. I’d recommend getting the TE Simple Storage for Tiny Things and then doing the die cutting. 🤭

Image

Of course, I had to stitch them and I used the previously released Pierced Grid Cutting Plate. If you like this plate, you should definitely check out the new cutting plate called Talking in Circles Piercing Plate.
Image

Gah! I love how this card turned out. Such a fun color explosion!

Next up, I used one of the TE Maps – Talking in Circles – Mini Slim Sugar Cube and made this one. The best part is all the color combos you can use! Get out your collection of color inspiration you’ve saved up!

Image

The sentiment is from Mix & Match For Him and the simplicity is perfection. This one is Guava, Candy Corn, Pink Champagne, Spearmint and Blueberry.
Image

One of my favorite parts might be stitching these cards. They are really the perfect thing for stitching, in my opinion. 😁
Image

The maps make super quick work of anything you want to create!

Lastly, I woke up one day and thought–oohhhhh The Very Hungry Caterpillar! I wonder if I can make a card with him on it? So I went for it. 🙂 He is a little abstract and far from perfect, but super fun!

Image

This was a crack up to make! His parts are pieces were fun to search for too in my stash. The feet are Little Bits – Shamrocks, the eyes are the inside pieces of the Cap It Off Alpha, the nose is the tip of the pencil and the antlers are the paint brush–both from Crafty Tools of the Trade.
Image

I couldn’t decide which sentiment to use, but in the end, I chose the You Grow Girl from the Shelf Control set. I think s/he is a trip! 😋

Be sure to check out all the new fun over at Taylored Expressions!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

  • Talking in Circles Die – Whole
  • Talking in Circles Die – Half

Today Taylored Expressions is releasing the last kit of 2024!! How crazy is THAT to say? Wow. Well, it’s a sweet and beary cute one!  Be sure to hop over to  Taylored Expressions  and check out the new goodies!

This new kit is called Bear Hugs and it’s adorable and perfect for all the upcoming things this season and the next… and really, anytime!

This first card includes not only the kit, but both of the new Embossing folders. I am so excited about these!! They are called Favorite Sweater and Tiny Twinkles. I will be using them often. Just sayin’. 😉

Image

The stencils in the kit make the “coloring” of the bears WAY fast and precise! So tight. The stencils fill in the colors perfectly!
Image

Aren’t they the cutest?
Image

Next up, I got out the new panels to foil with TE Rose Gold Fun Foil and it’s so sweet in person!

Image

I stamped this bear in Mushroom, which creates a softer look. I also think it works well with the TE Rose Gold Foil and Cardstock.
Image

I made this little bowl of Little Bits Hearts with the Arched Stacklets
Image

I made my bear Polar Bear “white” with a little Bleu Cheese Ink around his edges and some Olo Markers shading on the edges. It creates a bit of oomph, giving the bear a white look. I think it turned out a-ok as a white polar  bear. What do you think?

Be sure to check out the beary goodness over at Taylored Expressions!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Image

Taylored Expressions-Christmas in July Kit-Sweater Weather!

It’s the last Tuesday of the Month and that means there is a new card kit over at Taylored Expressions today–Christmas in July!! It’s SWEATER WEATHER!

Love Sweater Weather–both the season and this card kit is fun and adorable! Anyone else want to make allllllllllll the sweaters?!! 🙂

Image

These are so fun to make! First I used Foil It – Sweater Weather to foil a few panels with lots of different colors (I didn’t use them all for these cards, but now they are ready for the next round!)

I also foiled the The Insiders – Sweater Weather with TE Cookie Monster Fun Foil for the sentiment on my A2 Card

Image

Then I went ahead with the Sweater Weather Stencil, Die, & Clear Combo from the kit-using just the Stencils and Die, of course to create my sweaters with these saucy colors–full of spunk and tack for the season!

Image

I used the A2 Postage Stamp Stacklets for the A2 size one stamping all the snowflake stamps in the kit to create a fun background. I also cut the largest one from Glitter Cardstock – Teal–using the Glitter Cardstock to accent my sweater too!

Image

All the bits I used on my sweaters are the Teal Glitter Drops, Green Glitter Drops, and Pink Glitter Drops.

Image

The snowman is my fave–how cute is he?! Those little sweater decals are using the kit’s Dinky Decorations.

The Mini Slim card is stamped with the Dotted Snowfall Background that you can purchase outside the kit–this is a good one for alllllllll the days ahead! I also used all the Mini Slim Stacklets basically 😂– Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets, Diagonal Stitch Mini Slim Stacklets, and Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets.

Image

The sentiments in the kits Sweater Sayings are fun too–I love the funny sayings and the whimsy font for this kit! Don’t forget to order the Sweater Sayings Coordinating Dies if you want to cut the sentiments out. Keeping them outside the kit allows people to decide if they want them or not, while keeping the cost of the kit down. Love that option!

Be sure to check out the new kit from  Taylored Expressions!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

The Sweater Weather Kit is $69 packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker. The kit includes:
  • Sweater Weather Stencil, Die, & Clear Combo
  • Dinky Decorations
  • The Insiders – Sweater Sayings
  • Sweater Sayings
  • True Colors Inspiration Cards (set of 4)
Most kit items are not available to purchase individually.

Remember–there are limited quantities of the kit and they don’t typically restock!

Taylored Expressions-June Card Kit–Ladybugs!

It’s the last Tuesday of the Month and that means there is a new card kit over at Taylored Expressions today!! And it is ADORABLE! I had at least two more ideas for card, but ran out of time. Those will come another day!   Lady Bug Cardmaking Kit!

How cute are these! The best part is you can stamp and stencil them all and then BOOM cut them out with one DIE swoop! This makes me want to use them more vs  lining up all the dies, right?

Image

The new Foil It – Ladybug Scenes are super fun too! I had to foil a few of these so they are ready! The shaker is too fun!
Image Image

And then I wanted to make a colorful card! I couldn’t cut this up too much. I think it would have been easier to note the colors I DIDN’T use! 🤣

I used the A2 Postage Stamp Stacklets and the Pierced Grid Cutting Plate. This would be fun to cut these out too! Oh the possibilities!

Image

Lots of Rock Candy here too! 🙂

Taylored Expressions-May Card Kit–Doodle Birds!

It’s the last Tuesday of the Month–MAY! That means there is a new card kit over at Taylored Expressions today!!

This one is called Doodle Birds and it is oh so sweet! I love these little birds! I stamped, colored and die cut a bunch out so I could make a couple more cards later.

If you didn’t hear, there are new colors of OLO Markers out recently too! I can’t wait to get a hold of them!

Image

I can’t get enough of these cuties! And their little houses–Doodle Bird Digs! Eeeeep! Don’t forget to grab the coordinating dies for them, if you’re interested! Adorable! I used the Cloud Strips for the background here and the Build a Scene- Rolling Hills! Both sentiments are from the included Mini Strips – So Tweet.

Image

In case you didn’t see it, there is an add on you can purchase to the kit and it is called:  Make Like a Tree die. I can see pulling out this tree often for scenes! Won’t this be pretty in Autumn colors too?
Image

There are also Foil It -Doodle Bird Scenes to put your cute birds on. I didn’t use any of them here today, but I can’t wait to–birds on a wire! 🙂 Love it!
ImageMy tree is an apple tree using the Red Glitter Drops! Love that bit of sparkle!

Taylored Expressions-April Card Kit–Alpha FUN!

Well, I just had to stop and think what month we were in to write the title of this post! Haaaa! Here we are, end of APRIL already!! Which means a new Cardmaking Kit over  at Taylored Expressions!!

I know I absolutely say this often, but I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it–this is a GOOD ONE! 😊😊 This is called the  Alpha Bits Kit and it is awesome! I love the font TE chose to use for this and I love the size of the letters! I have alpha bit soup still on my desk 🙂

This first card uses lots of goodies in the kit:

  • Tall Tales Alpha die
  • Drop Shadow Stencils
  • Bold Border Background Blocks

Image

I did some masking here to create this one–both for the background stamping and the drop shadow of the stencil. I think it turned out fun! And it was super easy. I used Oyster and Earl Grey and then altered them stamp to stencil.
Image

Of course, the linear edges scream to be stitched, so I listened and did just that. I have PLENTY of letters to make some more of these, so I’m looking forward to that! 🙂
Image

Next up, I had to laugh because I say this all the time.. It’s like a double positive with a negative in there–and then with yes, on the side. 😂 I wasn’t sure if it was a Midwest thing or just a me thing, but Jen Shultz has confirmed that she too says something like this. 🙂 I love being able to personalize cards with fun sentiments!

Image

These letters are cut from Tropical Punch and then stamped with Tropical Punch ink using the Bold Border Background Blocks. One of my other favorite things about this week’s release is the Wavy Stitch Stacklets! And that we can use them alllllllllllllllllll the time now! Eeeeeep!

Image

I couldn’t resist adding in the Simple Strip is from the Simple Strip-Snarky set. Oh my goodness–I still laugh at this one! I hope you get a kick out of it too 🙂

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

Image

The Alpha Bits Kit is $67 packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker. The kit includes:
  • Tall Tales Alpha die
  • Drop Shadow Stencils
