I sat down and messed up a few things. Then, I saw this unfinished project on my desk from the #thedailymarker30day …whooot! I thought, perfecto! 🙂 I’ll wrap this ditty up!

This card looks so vibrant in person, yet I cannot capture it on camera. Why is it so hard? *Rolls eyes*. 🙂

I used Distress Inks and blended them on. And then Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs to emboss over top. (This set is WELL loved here.) I was pleasantly surprised how this turned out. Because, after all, I used some purple. Haaaa! 🙂

The Stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂

YOU are the Sprinkles!

You Are the Sprinkles on My Donut! Such a fun set from Neat & Tangled! I had the super good fortune to win this Say Yes to Donuts set last month, so I thought it perfect to use it for this month’s Little Tangles Challenge! 🙂 (You can check out last month’s post HERE.) Thank you again, Neat & Tangled! You know how to make a girl smile! 🙂

The challenge this month is Embossing. I wanted to heat emboss the icing on my donut with my Versamark pen and powder. But apparently my Versamark pen is AWOL. It must be hanging with my powder tool, that has been MIA for about four years. Haaaa!! Anywho, what to do? Well, I used a glue pen to stick the powder down. I do not advice this method. It bubbles! But for the icing, it was all good. 🙂

Can you see all that bubble texture? LOL!! I also embossed my sentiment by using Versafine ink. Much more conventional. 😉The Little Tangles Challenge this month can be found HERE. Check it out! Fun fun! 🙂

MFT Sketch #279

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #279! This comes from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!Torico always has a fun set for Birdie Brown. This one I couldn’t resist. Because, well, I have no unicorns. 🙂 Good reason, right?

I kept it really simple and basic. Just wanted to get some coloring in that night, and somehow this little cute unicorn was colored in purples! I may need to check my temperature. 🙂

I turned the inadvertently sketch for this. Ha! I used Prismacolor colored pencils and just used the pencils to blend this time. Sorry for the bad photo above. Gray overcast here. blergh.

My card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Stitched Mini Scalloped Rectangle STAX, Blueprints 13. Stamps: BB Magical Unicorns, BG Star Celebration Background. Card stock: Kraft and Eggplant. Eggplant dye ink.

MFT Sketch #277

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #277! This comes from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!I thought I’d get ahead for either Teacher Appreciation or more likely, the end of the school year! 🙂 My son’s teacher is beyond AMAZING! And I like to tell her that. ❤ I thought this was a little different take on the sketch this week. I clear embossed the Roses All Over BG and then rubbed in distress inks. Pretty quick and easy, which is what I like these days! 🙂

My card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, Candy Jars, Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX. Stamps: Roses All Over BG, LLD Soda Pop, and Rainbow of Happiness. Card stock: Ripe Raspberry and Smooth White.

It’s a Great Thursday for Technique Tuesday!*

Welcome to my third week of Technique Tuesday Thursdays*! You can hop over to the TT blog for this week’s low down!

OK, prepare for some fun! Teri’s new little Robot set, Favorite Human, is so very fun! I’m not kidding when I say I had to hide it from myself for a while, so that I would diversify! 😉

My first card is actually the first card I made with the new TT goodies! I still geek over it. 🙂 Beep! This set: <3!! I also used the Clipboard die, which is a staple die set to own, in my opinion. No pun intended, but close, with an office supply and all. 😉 haaa!

So after I made the above card, with the fun robot background, I thought, hmmmm…and made another! 🙂

“Talk Nerdy to Me”?!! I yelped! SO FUN! 🙂

The Favorite Human stamp set has lots of fun stamps all tucked into one smaller price-point. And, let’s face it, that is enjoyable in and of itself! Because: MORE STAMPS!! Be sure to head over to the Technique Tuesday blog today! I’ll see you back here next week for more! 🙂

This week’s sketch:Here is my first take this week:

I love the pieces out of the newest Diagonal Quilt Square Cover Up. So I die cut a bunch of quilts, then used the pieces. 🙂 I think I stuck a lot tighter to the sketch this week!! Ha! 🙂

I made another card the other night. I had to use this cutie reindeer!!

Between the happy jumping Santa, and this reindeer, this BB Jingle All the Way set earned its way into my heart. 🙂 I think I’m going to add a little sparkle to that bright nose.

I used watercolors for these little cuties. The wood paper warms it up so sweetly. 🙂

My Favorite Things: Sketch #259

Poof! I find this a refreshing take on the Christmas cards. Do you? When I finished this card, I thought, Dang, I think Erin has rubbed off on me! Something about its overall feel reminds me of Erin’s fabulously bold style. 🙂

I originally had the three leafy greens exactly like the sketch has them. It looked awkward, so I took those three sketch elements and bundled them. I love to see when people follow Sketches tightly. (Check out Miriam‘s because she’s really good like that). I sometimes (ok, often) end up tweeking a few things on my cards. 😉

I didn’t get to making another Sketch card, but I did make this fun guy:

I tried soooooooooo long to resist ordering this set, because I felt pretty good about my collection of Christmas stamps. But, I’m weak. This one particular Santa made me order it. Plus, I did not have any Santa stamps. So obviously, it’s justifiable. 😉 😉I clear embossed his outline and then used watercolors to give him color! Too fun! 🙂
