Clucking!

I’m interrupting your Super Bowl experience this evening to bring some crafty fun 🙂 !

It’s February! And that means there are new stamps aboard from Technique Tuesday! I love a good play on words, and naturally, this month does NOT disappoint! 🙂

For these cards, I used Technique Tuesday’s newly released, Chicken Family Stamp set (and Chicken Family dies) the previously released, Funny Farm stamp set and coordinating dies.

Oh my word! This is the perfect card to send from our house! LOL! 🙂

I colored this scene with Copic Markers. I mean, chickens are blue, right? 😉

This next card uses the SUPER FUN new set, Cheeky Chicken. These sentiments are so stinkin’ funny to me! 🙂 They also have coordinating dies HERE. Just crack me UP!

I actually gave this to my hubby for his birthday. Because he really wants chickens. Bwaahahha!

For this card above, I used my Zig Clean Color Markers for a little loosey “goosey” watercolor action.

Love Ya Bunches

Hope your weekend has been fantastic so far! 🙂

I love this little set: Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson United We Flourish Love Ya’ Bunches. I have been wanting to monkey around with it again and I finally got around to it 🙂 .

Eeeeek! So fun! And this paper is hoard worthy, but I am trying my best to use my favorites too vs. saving them. LOL. But the rainbow–want to keep forever–ha! ❤I stamped everything and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor these cuties on Bristol paper. It turned out so fun, and my son is going to love finding it in his lunchbox Monday!

Oh this little bear is from Lawn Fawn’s You’re Claw-some set. ❤ those little guys. 🙂

Done Adulting

If you missed my post yesterday for the new Essentials by Ellen Release, check it out HERE! I am elated to have joined in the new release fun!

Today, I’m sharing this card made with Julie Ebersole’s new Mermaid’s Tail set. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Julie is a serious threat to my pocketbook! LOL! ❤

This is my FAVORITE sentiment! ❤ !! For this I colored directly on the mermaid stamp with my Zig Clean Color makers and then sprayed a bit of water on before stamping it on watercolor paper. I then added the sentiment and some stitching. I was surprised at how well it turned out! 🙂

For my second card today, I used Brandi Kincaid’s new set, Crafty Lady and coordinating dies. Gah! 🙂

This sentiment rocks for so many crafty friends! 🙂

For this card, I stamped them with Versafine Black ink and used Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor. (I’m not super skilled at skin nor hair. Yikes! Poor lady. LOL) I thought she looked a lot like me in the end, with paint and ink all over her shirt! 🙂

Here is a trio of card I made with the new Body Language stamp set and icons dies! I think these are so dang funny!!

I watercolored this little gut with my Zig Clean Color markers and die cut them out. I popped them on these fun tags I cut from patterned paper (yay!) using Paper Smooches’ Tag Stitched Die. To finish them off, I reverse scored these cards and boom good to go! 🙂

I just think this stamp set is a RIOT! 🙂

Let’s Hang

Happy Friday–and beginning of a long holiday weekend for some here in the US! Yay! 🙂

I received the new Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson United We Flourish Love Ya’ Bunches in the mail last night! Whooooot!! Super crazy fast shipping, EH! Thank you! ❤️

I thought I’d take advantage of my night, and get right to it! This set is super cute and so fun with all its lil’ bits and sentiments to mix and match! Eeeep! 🙂

I made pink monkeys!! How do these things come to be? LOL! I’m thinking that I should have made blue bananas while I was at it! Haaaa!

I clear embossed all the elements and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this cuties on Bristol paper. I stamped all the leaves in green ink directly. Again, alarmed at how many green inkpads I have! 😉 Totally normal. (Haaa!!)

Miss you…

Hope your weekend is going swimmingly! We are having low 70’s temps (and a nice breeze) this weekend and I could not be happier! It’s a welcome relief to the heat. I wish I could bottle it up. 🙂

Anywho–I have had this Bon Voyage stamp and die set on my desk for months. I finally got to it last night. 🙂 I really wanted to make some happy clouds!

I brushed on some Distress Inks to create the background. I quick Googled Sunset images and found this photo below to inspire my color choices. When I find inspiration, I usually just look at it and get to work. I use it for the jump start and don’t refer back, but I see now there is a lot more blue in this photo. 😉Photo Credit HERE.

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this airplane on Bristol paper. You can BARELY tell it is even colored in these photos, so I guess I could have gone a notch darker? I also added some glossy accents to the plane, and those are next to invisible! Haaaa!! I was trying to keep the focus on the clouds. I’m not sure if I succeeded in the end. LOL!

I used the following Lawn Fawn sets: Bon Voyage, Chit Chat (a long time LF fave!), and Thanks a Bushel for all the happy faces!

One of a Kind

Happy Monday! ❤

I thought I’d pop in and share the card I made for my son this week. He has 12 days left of kindergarten ( 😦 TOO FAST!), and you’d think it was more like 100 days. LOL 🙂 He’s ready to bust out for SURE!

You should also know that he adores stuffies, his favorite color has always been orange, and these claw games memorize him! Of course, we don’t play them, so this is the next best thing. 🙂 Well, in my mind anyway! Bwwwhaaahaa!

This new set from Lawn Fawn, You’re Claw-some, was a must have here. For all the reasons stated above! 🙂 It is just tooooo cute!

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this on Bristol paper. The patterned paper was a bonus I received in one of my Lawn Fawn packages (Thank you, LF!). The background is stamped repeatedly with the stars/hearts from this set. I just randomly colored in a few my Copics, to add a little interest. I finished it off with some stitching and Wink of Stella sparkle.

Also, I am finally getting around to entering the fun over at Lawn Fawnatics! This is for this Challenge #5 HERE! Play along, there is lots of time left!

So spunky and cute! I chose to use the orange, blue, and a touch of green & red. I actually colored the unicorn pink/purple that goes with this set, but he was left off this card. Likely to hop on another one soon!

Totally Adorable

Happy Easter! I hope those who celebrate had a wonderful Easter! Our weather was unreal here today, and I can’t remember a nicer Easter day, weather wise.

I thought I’d pop in to share some more fun from this month’s Technique Tuesday release! They can be found HERE!

I used purple and it all turned out OK! LOL! I am not a huge fan of purple, but I did try to it give it a few nods last month. Too funny!

This card uses the new fun set, Bunny Owl. (You cannot beat this price point for a cute lil’ set!)

I also used the new Kids Are Cool stamp set, which I ❤ ,and need more time in the day to use all the stamps there! 🙂 I think if you journal or scrapbook, this set would be extra perfecto for you!I also used the Memo Pad Card die. This die never fails me. 🙂 I used my Zig pens to watercolor this cutie, and added some googley eyes, of course.

And while we are here, enjoying some spring cards, I thought I’d share this silly one I made using the Bailey the Bunny stamp set. That tooshie is the best!

I was definitely doing some snickering while making this lil’ nutty one! 🙂

This sentiment is from Sassy Family. If you haven’t checked out the latest series of stamps in the “Sassy” line, I recommend them highly. I think they are super funny!! I love to send cards with laughs. 🙂 These bunnies were colored with Copic markers.

Sunny Day!

Happy Wednesday! Since we haven’t seen the sun in sooooo long, I decided I would just have to make my own! ❤

These little cutie owls are from Paper Smooches Feathered Friends. I stamped them all and used my Zig pens to add a little watercolor. I added some Wink of Stella after that, to give them a little shimmer! 🙂 So cute in person! hawkins_jill_sending-sunshine_wm

The Feathered Friends have coordinating dies, which I also used. This fun sentiment is from the Paper Smooches stamp set, Summer Sampler. It’s a great one to have in your supplies! 🙂

Love Birds

Sharing another card the September Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge! I’m hoping this one arrived at its destination by now. 🙂

I had previously stamped and watercolored a bunch of little birdies from Paper Smooches Feathered Friends, which made it quick and fun to make a few cards!I hand drew in the line on the bottom and then added some ink blending. Fortunately, it looks a lot smoother in person! 🙂 The little heart is from the Heart Die Frame. I just added some sparkle! Oh, and I colored the edge of a white card base to perfectly match the card details. Whoot! 🙂
