Our Charities

£28,050 raised so far

We are so proud and honoured to have supported the following charities, with various fundraisers, challenges, competitions, quizzes, bake sales, races, raffles, and sending goodies.

Many of these charities are close to our hearts in one way or another – whether having directly supported us/our families at some point, need funding for a cause one of us has personal experience of, or for a cause we feel is particularly deserving at the time. We are continually looking for new ways to raise funds and contributions for charities. Below are some of the things we’ve taken part in. 😊

Bone Cancer Research Trust – £11,059 raised

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is a charity providing funding for research into primary bone cancer, raising awareness of the disease, providing patient information, and providing support services.

Over the years we have done many fundraisers for this charity, as it is one very close to our hearts. We ran a cake sale in the office around the other businesses.

We also hosted a quiz night and raffle – with support from some of our clients who donated so generously. This event raised £1,277 in just 3 hours. We carved our own pumpkins and the public voted for their favourite – for every vote on social media we donated £5 to Bone Cancer Research Trust.

In 2020 our chosen charity was Bone Cancer Research Trust, and we donated any funds/sponsorship money raised to this great cause. Charlie was due to run the London Marathon in 2020 but this was rescheduled due to Covid-19 – so Charlie ran this in October 2022! She raised a whopping £3,352 for this wonderful charity. Charlie’s training has included running around our clients’ offices, ‘Charlie’s Crawl to Clients’, which raised an additional £200.

We were also very proud to sponsor the ‘Bone Cancer Ball’ in Leeds for our early team Christmas in November 2022. It was a fantastic event with so much love in the room – we all had a great time. We decided to sponsor this event again for November 2023 and donated our table to raise further funds and awareness.

The Brompton Fountain – £7,101 raised

The Brompton Fountain is a charity supporting children with serious, often life-threatening, medical conditions who are under the care of Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust: the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK.

We hosted a quiz night and auction to help raise money for the Brompton Fountain, and our team also took part in a Colour Run and a ‘Tough Mudder’ event – which we all found very challenging, and we had the bruises to prove it! In 2021 Charlie ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for The Brompton Fountain, and in 2023 five of the CTR team ran this half marathon again, raising a staggering £2,000 more for the Brompton Fountain!

Sebastian’s Action Trust – £2,115 raised

Sebastian’s Action Trust (SAT) provides emotional, social, and practical care for life-limited and life-threatened children and their families.

We take part in their ‘Christmas in July’ initiative for children every year. We undertook a series of Christmas themed events and challenges to raise money and awareness. We held a Christmas fun run, hid a cheeky elf on our website, a Christmas mince pie bake-off, our children sang Christmas songs, Christmas jumper day, and a gingerbread man decorating competition!

In October 2020 we raised £285 through our annual Pumpkin Carving Competition where the public voted for their favourite – for every vote on social media we donated £5 to Sebastian’s Action Trust.

In 2022 and 2023, we donated Easter eggs to their fantastic annual Easter hunt, which they organise for the families of the seriously ill children that they offer support to.

The last few years we have also joined in with ‘Christmas in July’ once again by wearing our most festive outfits, and for every vote cast on social media for the best outfit, we donated £5 to Sebastian’s Action Trust, which has raised another £600 for this wonderful cause. When appropriate, we use the money raised to select gifts for the children from their online wish list.

In July 2024 we sponsored ‘Sellebrity Soccer’: a celebrity football match at Ascot United FC raising funds for SAT. We were proud to be shirt sponsors to help this fantastic charity.

White Lodge – Easter egg donations

In 2024, instead of dropping Easter eggs round to our clients, we decided to donate them to a very worthy charity: White Lodge Centre. White Lodge Centre are a local charity to us, who provide services that enable those with a range of disabilities, along with their families and carers, to lead fulfilling lives. They currently support over 1,200 individuals across Surrey and beyond through a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities. We managed to donate over 200 Easter eggs! Below are photos of Charlotte and Esther passing them over to White Lodge, along with some of the nursery children and staff there.

2024 Challenges – nearly £1,000 raised

We embraced a ‘Year of the Challenges’ in 2024. This was all about pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and making a difference! We decided to challenge ourselves in unique ways, all for a good cause.

Each member of the CTR team completed their own personal challenge, for a charity of their choice.
