OVERVIEW COLLECTION USAGE SHARING YOUR RIGHTS SECURITY

1. OVERVIEW AND COMMITMENT

Sisyphus Consulting Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of Feedhammer, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our Service.

Our Privacy Promise

  • Minimal Data: We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service
  • No Selling: We never sell your personal information to third parties
  • No Advertising: We don't use your data for targeted advertising
  • Transparency: We clearly explain what we do with your data
  • Control: You can access, update, or delete your data

By using Feedhammer, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name: From your Google profile (used for displaying in your Dashboard)
  • Email Address: From your Google account (required for authentication and communication)
  • Google User ID: A unique identifier from Google OAuth (required for authentication)
  • Unique Token: A secure random token we generate for your account

2.2 Service Data

To provide the Service functionality, we store:

Basecamp URLs iCal feed URLs (the secret tokens that grant read access to Basecamp)
Project Names Auto-detected project names from iCal feeds (cached)
Calendar Identity (Pro) Custom calendar display name and PRODID (optional)

Where required for security, sensitive data such as Basecamp URLs is encrypted at rest.

2.3 Payment Information

We do NOT store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by our payment processor, Dodo Payments. We only store:

  • Dodo Payments customer and subscription IDs
  • Subscription status, plan type, and billing period dates
  • Payment amounts and status for transaction records

2.4 What We DON'T Collect

Importantly, we do NOT collect or store:

  • Calendar Event Data: We fetch Basecamp data on-demand and do not maintain a persistent database of your calendar events
  • Google Calendar Data: We only use Google OAuth for authentication—never for accessing your Google Calendar
  • Third-Party Analytics: No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tracking services on the Feedhammer application
  • Tracking Cookies: No advertising or behavioral tracking cookies
  • Personal Communications: No access to emails, messages, or other communications

2.5 Data Storage and Infrastructure

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure operated by third-party providers located in Europe. These providers host our database, application servers, and related infrastructure. Storage providers are bound by data processing agreements and process data solely on our instructions. Cloudflare is used as our content delivery and security layer (for details, see Section 4).

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

3.1 Primary Purposes

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide the Service: Authenticate you, unify your calendar feeds, and serve requested data
  • Process Payments: Manage subscriptions, billing, and payment confirmations
  • Communicate with You: Send transactional emails (receipts, security alerts, service notifications)
  • Improve the Service: Fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop features

3.2 Email Communications

We send transactional emails necessary for operating the Service, such as payment receipts, subscription notifications, security alerts, and account-related notices. These emails cannot be disabled as they are required for service operation.

3.3 No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use your data for automated profiling or decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate Feedhammer: Dodo Payments (payment processing), Brevo (transactional email), Google OAuth (authentication), cloud hosting providers in Europe (infrastructure), and Cloudflare (content delivery and security).

These providers are contractually bound to process data only for the purposes we authorize and to maintain appropriate security measures. For payment processing details, see Dodo Payments' privacy policy.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). Such disclosures may occur when:

  • Complying with a legal obligation
  • Protecting and defending our rights or property
  • Preventing or investigating possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • Protecting the personal safety of users or the public
  • Protecting against legal liability

4.3 Business Transfers

If Sisyphus Consulting Private Limited is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4.5 What We Never Do

We never:
  • Sell your personal information to third parties
  • Share your data with advertisers or marketing networks
  • Allow third parties to use your data for their own business purposes
  • Share your Basecamp URLs or calendar data with unauthorized parties

5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

5.1 Retention Periods

We retain your data for the following periods:

5.2 Account Deletion

You can request account deletion at any time by contacting [email protected]. When your subscription ends, your data is deleted. Payment records will be retained as required by law.

5.3 Team/Organization Data

If you are a team member of a Pro organization, your access to organization groups ends when:

  • You leave the organization
  • The organization owner removes you
  • The organization owner's subscription expires or is cancelled

6. YOUR DATA RIGHTS

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage most of this through your account settings. To request a data export or deletion, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell your personal information.

7. DATA SECURITY

7.1 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data, including encryption, access controls, and secure authentication.

7.2 Security Limitations

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7.3 Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by law.

7.4 Your Security Responsibilities

You play an important role in protecting your data:

  • Use a strong, unique password for your Google account
  • Enable two-factor authentication on your Google account
  • Keep your feed URLs confidential—treat them like passwords
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

8.1 What We Use

Feedhammer uses minimal cookies and similar technologies:

8.2 Web Analytics (Marketing Site Only)

Our public marketing website (feedhammer.com) uses GoatCounter, a privacy-focused web analytics service. GoatCounter is GDPR-compliant and does not use cookies, track personal data, or follow users across sites. It collects only anonymous, aggregated page view counts. No data is collected on the Feedhammer application itself.

8.3 Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in to Feedhammer.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Our servers are located in Europe. If you are located outside Europe and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer and process your data in Europe. Your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses where required
  • Data processing agreements with subprocessors
  • Compliance with applicable data protection frameworks

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Feedhammer is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
  • Sending an email notification for significant changes
  • Displaying a prominent notice in the Service

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when posted.
