A why! computer is built to last: standard parts, freely available teardown guides and a workshop in Prilly. Your choice: we take care of it, or you do it yourself.
Describe the problem by email, with the computer model (label underneath the device), the installed system and, if possible, the serial number. We usually reply within one working day and suggest the simplest solution: remote assistance, drop-off at the workshop or shipping the device.
Teardown and repair guides for why! computers are freely available on iFixit: battery, SSD, memory, keyboard… most jobs only need a simple screwdriver.
A label underneath the computer shows the "Model Name", as pictured below.
Need a part? Batteries, keyboards, SSDs and memory are in the Spare parts section of the shop.
