Today, we're expanding access to SynthID Detector in partnership with OpenAI NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon Apple as part of an industry-wide effort to make AI-generated content more transparent. Since launching SynthID in 2023, we've watermarked more than 180 billion images and videos and 240,000 years of audio content. Now, we're expanding access to SynthID Detector — our verification portal to identify AI-generated content — to everyone globally in English, making it easier for anyone to easily check if an image, video, or audio file was made with AI from Google or our partners. Want to check if a media file was created using AI? Here’s how: 1️⃣ Go to synthid.com and upload an image, video, or audio file 2️⃣ The portal scans the media to detect if the file contains a SynthID watermark This portal joins our built-in verification features across Search, the Gemini app, and Chrome, which now regularly handle more than 1 million verification requests daily — all part of our ongoing work to give you more context about the media you see online, so you can navigate the web with confidence. New research shows how Google Earth AI can help communities address public health crises more quickly and proactively. Why this matters: Forecasting where a disease outbreak might spread next usually requires weeks of stitching together fragmented satellite imagery, census tables, and local health records. We’ve worked with partners to test a system that combines environmental signals with foundation models and a prototype Geospatial Reasoning agent so that public health teams can query complex planetary datasets in plain language. This enables researchers and public health officials to close critical data lags and address crises faster. One example: During the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), our partners at the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for Africa used this technology to uncover transmission blind spots faster. They used our Geospatial Reasoning agent prototype to map areas where exposure risk and human mobility are high. In minutes, the team pinpointed 48 exposed settlements and located more than 45,500 at-risk people — a process that normally would have taken weeks. Equipping health leaders with advanced predictive tools can better protect at-risk communities, and help shift emergency response from reactive management to proactive prevention. Here’s how to use Gemini to update your resume in under a minute: 💬 Open Gemini and type or speak aloud a total brain dump about your past roles (rambling is encouraged). 🗣️ Tell Gemini to organize your thoughts into metric-driven achievements for your new resume. Try this prompt: “Act as a professional resume writer. Use my raw, unedited notes about my past work and turn it into 4 high-impact resume bullets for a _______ role. Start each bullet with a strong action verb. Keep the tone executive, clear, and ATS-friendly.” ✏️ Chat back and forth to adjust the details, tone, and focus. ➡️ Copy and paste your new section right into your old resume.

As an account executive, Jenna solves problems that don't always look like traditional advertising problems. Working in Google Ads, she acts as a strategic consultant for restaurant brands, using data and customer behavior to uncover opportunities for growth. For one client, Jenna found friction in the digital ordering experience that was turning away potential diners. She led an effort to use predictive AI to bring in customers more likely to place an order, then scaled the approach. Jenna calls this “business fluency”: translating technical solutions into the financial language of a client’s industry. “By listening more than speaking and prioritizing their long-term health, I prove our goals are aligned,” she explains. We're introducing skills in the Gemini app to help you automate your most repetitive tasks. Think of a skill as a reusable shortcut for recurring tasks, that works similar to a slash command. Instead of typing a long, detailed prompt every time you start a chat, you can save your instructions and preferences just once, and use that skill anytime you need to automate that specific task. Once you’ve created your skill, just type a forward slash ‘/’ in the prompt bar and the skill's name, and Gemini instantly applies your instructions and does the heavy lifting for you. Skills are already available in Gemini Spark, and they will soon replace Gems to make building custom shortcuts even easier. But don’t worry — we’ll automatically migrate your Gems into skills when Gems go away. And over the coming weeks, skills will have the same features you loved in Gems, including the ability to share them with others and add Google Drive files. Learn more → goo.gle/4z60rg7

As our Content Safety engineering presence rapidly expands in Singapore, we’re looking for problem-solvers who want to stretch their skills against deep technical challenges — like building safety protections directly into AI products and generative models like Gemini. For engineering leader Matthew Bilotti, building technology that protects users requires focusing on the bigger picture — designing systems that scale globally, optimizing within cost constraints, and taking full ownership of the end-to-end solution. After years of steering counter-abuse teams on large social platforms, Matthew joined Google’s Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) team to help scale these critical defenses company-wide. Now, he is helping establish the team's first Asia Pacific presence in Singapore, adopting a global "follow-the-sun" model to investigate and address urgent safety issues around the clock. His advice on thriving in a fast-paced, high-stakes technical field? It comes down to a clear, shared sense of purpose. "The person who will thrive in this environment will maintain grace under pressure, keep our mission firmly in mind, and diligently execute," Matthew shares. "I always remember there are users out there depending on us to keep them safe." Ready to build what’s next for global user safety? See how you can make a meaningful impact with our growing Singapore team → https://goo.gle/4xsUtFq
