Wildfire smoke continues to fill across the region and is causing very poor air quality in addition to reduced visibilities. See the PDF (document.airnow.gov/air-quality-gu…) from the IL EPA for tips on staying safe and airnow.gov for the latest air quality info. #ILwx #INwx
Protect yourself from wildfire smoke. Stay indoors and keep windows closed. Keep your pets indoors too! When using air conditioning, keep the outdoor air intake closed and clean the filter to prevent outdoor smoke getting inside. If you go outside, avoid exertion and consider wearing a respirator (N95 or P100 mask). Monitor the air quality for your zip code at airnow.gov

Most healthy people recover in 1–2 weeks with rest and fluids, but diarrhea can come and go for a month or longer. Some people may need prescription antibiotics. If you think you have cyclosporiasis, contact your health care provider.

One more reminder: 🧼 Wash your hands before handling produce. 🥩 Keep produce separate from raw meat and seafood. 🧊 Refrigerate cut or cooked fruits and vegetables within 2 hours.

All of Illinois is either under a heat advisory or an extreme heat watch. This kind of weather can cause heat illnesses or even be fatal. Plan ahead to stay cool, and visit a cooling center, mall, or large store if your home isn't keeping you cool enough. keepcool.illinois.gov

Good morning. It's hot out there. 🥵 Illinois is in for extreme heat this week. Stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade or air conditioning, and check in on neighbors, older adults, and anyone without reliable cooling.

Every person should be able to access reproductive health care when and where they need it. In Illinois, we're expanding access to contraception through trained pharmacists across the state. 🧵
