    Units are on scene of a house fire in the 10 blk of N. Berlin Pike. Crews arrived to find smoke/fire coming from a single-family home. All occupants reported to have safely evacuated. Roads in the immediate area are impacted; expect delays and follow law enforcement direction.

    UPDATE (4:40 PM): The fire is out. Units remain on scene performing salvage and overhaul operations. The Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene and will conduct an investigation into the cause and origin. Continue to avoid the area.

    Today, we remember FF/Paramedic Jeffrey Rizzo, who unexpectedly passed on July 8, 2021. FF Rizzo began his career as a firefighter in Loudoun in Nov. 2017 & was assigned to FS7, Aldie. We honor his service & will never forget his sacrifice & the sacrifice of his family.

    INCIDENT ALERT: Crews are on the scene of an outside gas leak in the 22300 blk of Powers Ct in Sterling. Gas company is on scene & assessing the extent of the leak. No injuries reported, occupants safely evacuated. Road closures in the immediate vicinity, avoid the area.

    #LCFR crews quickly extinguished a house fire in Leesburg last night. Minimal interior damage, but seven occupants & a dog were displaced. No injuries reported. #LCFR-FMO ruled the fire accidental, caused by improperly discarded legal fireworks outside the home. ⬇️

    If you plan to use fireworks, know the risks & follow these tips: • Only use legal fireworks; nothing that shoots, explodes, or flames. • Use outdoors, away from homes, with water nearby. • Never light in your hand or aim at anyone. • Soak used fireworks before disposal.
