And then they are going to spark community spread across your highly vulnerable demographic groups (i.e. communities of color, elders, etc), crash your ICUs, and flood your morgues. Brace for impact, Missouri.

It appears that @AMB_Alhamed does not appreciate the satellite images of body disposal operations taking place in El Fasher that I shared with him in response to his claims that the city is returning to “normal life” as RSF continues killing civilians. 👇 #KeepEyesOnSudan

Sir, satellite imagery coming from El Fasher tells different story from your description below. Below is mass grave @HRL_YaleSPH observed near mosque in neighborhood where killings continue. The @mofauae must demand RSF withdraw from El Fasher + let @UN in now #KeepEyesOnSudan

I’ve done a lot of human rights investigations and all of them matter, but none is more urgent than this one. @HRL_YaleSPH @YaleSPH @ObserveConflict has revealed the vast system of Russia’s network of camps holding Ukrainian children from the Black Sea to Siberia and the pacific

When @HRL_YaleSPH saw apparent pools of blood in satellite imagery from El Fasher, I at first couldn’t believe it. However, it is what we are seeing. The horror, scale, and velocity of killing happening now unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a quarter century of doing this work.

Been doing and following OSINT research for 12 years. Never before have I read about there being so much blood it could be spotted by satellite. But that's now the reality in El Fasher (Sudan 🇸🇩)

I’m seeing messages announcing joint call for ceasefire in El Fasher by European foreign ministers. Tone deaf, unhelpful. We need European governments publicly stating the consequences for UAE if RSF doesn’t withdraw now and let UN and ICRC enter city. Everything else is theatre

It is increasingly clear that a full scale RSF attack on El Fasher will likely occur very soon (hours/days, not weeks/months) without any meaningful international intervention. Nobody can say they didn’t know. No one. A thread 🧵1/5:

Some things 🇺🇸 government should be saying right now: 1. We have determined RSF is committing genocide in Darfur and they are still doing it. 2. Here is list of consequences for RSF and UAE if they keep doing it. And 3. UAE will be directly held responsible for what happens next.

As fighting intensifies in El Fasher and more civilians seek safety from the violence, the RSF must act now to protect civilians and prevent further suffering. We call on RSF leaders to continue to issue and publicly communicate clear orders to their forces to ensure the safety

It breaks my heart to think of all the incredible people from El Fasher -humanitarians, teachers, local leaders, health workers- who have been gruesomely murdered in a matter of days. A generation of selfless care givers wiped out. Honor them by protecting those still alive.

Let’s get humanitarian basics straight, everybody: @ICRC is a neutral organization that exists to ensure international humanitarian law (IHL) is respected by all parties in a conflict and civilians get aid. What @PMaurerICRC is doing 👇is literally his job description under IHL!

One 5 minute phone call from @FCDOGovUK to Abu Dhabi threatening real economic and diplomatic consequences on @mofauae for backing RSF will do a million times more to save lives in El Fasher (for those that aren’t dead already) than five million pounds of humanitarian assistance.
