Add a subtask

Subtasks are added to a task that already exists.

  1. Open the task and select Edit this task.
  2. Under Subtasks, type a step in Add a subtask.
  3. Press Enter. The subtask is added and the field is ready for the next one.

A new subtask starts in the task group's first status. The person who made the task can add subtasks to it, and so can the space's managers and the workspace owner and admins.

Work on a subtask

A subtask is a task of its own. Select it in the list to open it, then give it a status, priority, due date, people, tags, comments and files, just like any other task.

Each subtask in the list shows its title, a dot in its status colour and its status. Subtasks in a done status are marked as finished.

See the progress

  • Cards and rows show how many subtasks are done, such as 2/5. The count is marked once every subtask is done.
  • In the task window, Subtasks shows 2 of 5 done, and a Subtasks tab sits beside Comments and Activity.

Finish a task with open subtasks

When you move a task into a status marked as done while some of its subtasks are still open, Miwlo asks what to do with them:

  • Mark them done too moves the open subtasks into the same done status.
  • Leave them open finishes the task and leaves its subtasks as they are.

Subtasks count as your work too. A subtask assigned to you shows on your overview and on Assigned to me, like any other task.
