Happy Birthday Marvin Gaye - You are Missed!

I don't like to admit this, but those of you who know me are probably aware that music makes me emotional. As I watched several videos of the late Marvin Gaye, I cried. It was hard to choose just one video to post in honor of his birthday. This one will always be my favorite:



Marvin's father shot and killed him on April 1. One day before his 45th birthday. I remember watching the news, absolutely incredulous, it was a double shock...he was dead at the hands of his own father.



I can't mention Marvin without also pointing out that this man has more raw sensuality in his little pinky than some men do in their entire bodies. Damn.

What's Going On?

Marvin Gaye wrote this song about 40 years ago. I was singing it to myself today thinking about how it speaks not only of then...but of now, and then I found this video. Please watch it.
