    About Me

    My photo
    Pam
I am a 39 year old, single mom of 6 children 20,17,15,13,8,& 7. I've survived divorce. We are a trasracial/adoptive family. I am a self employed natural light photographer. I am a lover of Jesus Christ. I strive to please God, but sometimes I forget who God says I am, and what He has told me to believe. I am very blessed, but don't always see the blessings through the circumstances. I don't want to look back one day and realize I missed it. So, join me as I strive to treasure every moment of these years that are flying by! The facts: I've been divorced from HSSH (high school sweet heart) for over 6 years. Healing has been a painfully long process, one that we are still working through. God has given me a promise of restoration of our very dead marriage. I am slowiy learning many things over and over again. One day at a time... this is what I am walking out, by the grace of God... He's become more than I ever imagined He could be through this journey... some days things are quite serious around here, and life is hard. Other days we are laughing & just enjoying a moment.

    James

    James
James is 20 & living on campus as a sophomore at Bethel College, about 2 1/2 hours from home, with 2 of this best track buddies from high school. He has a track scholarship. He is study ing business marketing/management. He had a great experince this summer working at church camps, it was amazing! He dates a great girl named Brookelyn who he met at college. Praying for James to stay focused, pure, and for his relationship with Jesus to continue the growth that has started!

    Zach

    Zach
Zach is 17. He is a junior in high school. Playing football, basketball, & running track. He is a hurting kid with a chip on his shoulder & an attitude to keep people at bay. He has a great heart under all the pain, I hurt so bad for him & desire to see God bring healing into Zach's life. I believe that God will do that, I just fear the chapters that it will take to get to that point. I told him recently he has so much talent, brains & charisma... and satan is stealing it away. Lots of prayer time going into this one... I turn to worry way too easily.

    Leah

    Leah
Leah is 14. She is a freshmen in high school & is beautifiul inside and out. She spends too much time in the bathroom in the mornings, and her brothers are always yelling for her to "hurry up!" She enjoys throwing the shot put for the track team. She is a talented singer, that isn't doing much with her talent at the moment. It will be amazing to see what happens with that! Her future plans are to be a photographer! She is my helper, and she is one of my best friends.

    Lucas

    Lucas
Lucas is 13. He is the 7th grade. Out of all my kids he is the one that is the quiet, obedient, pleaser... he's content to watch and listen. I can't tell you what a joy he is to have around. He works very hard in school & it doesn't come very easy for him. We are waiting to see where his talents take him. He is playing football for the first time this fall!

    Jadon

    Jadon
Jadon is 7. He is in second grade. Jadon is a great reader & catches on quickly in school! Jadon is a people person. Everyone loves him and he loves everyone! He is naturally athelic and friendly... We have witnessed a miracle in Jadon's life in the past year. God has brought healing to areas regarding his behavior that just blow our minds! You can read about it here on my blog under posts about Jadon. He joined our family through private adoption at birth.

    Kiahna

    Kiahna
Kiahna Grace is my baby. She is 6 years old & is in first grade. Kiahna loves to help mommy, cheerleading, her dogs & cats, & riding her bike. We adopted her through private adoption at birth, also. We recently recieved a FAES diagnosis for Kiahna, which means she was exposed to drugs or alcohol while she was in the womb, causing some degree of brain damage. As we learn more about this disability life is a little uncertian once again. We are searching and praying for miracles and answers in Kiahna's life. Praising God for the ones we've seen & the ones still to come!

"Standing" is a collection of my posts, mostly from this blog, focusing on God's story of what happened in our marriage. And the stand for restoration I am being asked to take. Won't you come and pray with me?
