Since I've transition to a desktop, I have never opened an email attachment successfully. I always received this error "filename path contains invalid characters" I never really understood what it meant because I couldn't see invalid characters in the attachment filename. Until I stumbled on a forum that suggested changing the folder name from "\XXXXX" to "/XXXXX." Amazingly, it worked! I have forgotten how one measly character can cause so much problem when dealing with computers. I hope this helps you in the future.
