Currency System

In DEEMO II, there are many more systems utilized all throughout the game and as such these currencies are used. They serve a variety of purposes and some are easier to get than others.

Listed below are the main currencies used in the game.

Blaze Starby		Obtained from Events and Weekly Tasks.
Chart Shard		Obtained from Events. 1 Blaze Starby has: 4.5% chance for 30 Chart Shards 0.5% chance for 100 Chart Shards Guaranteed 30 Chart Shards after 30 consecutive Blaze Starby pulls without getting Chart Shards.
Coffee		Can only be received as Arcanum Rewards.
Crystal		Free Crystals can be obtained from Daily Tasks, Stamp Card Daily Rewards, Blaze Starbys, Event Rewards, Arcanum Rewards, Achievement Rewards Paid Crystals can be purchased with real money (US$ 5.99 / 600 Crystals, etc.)
Shells		Obtained from Daily Tasks, Stamp Card Daily Rewards, Blaze Starbys, Arcanum Rewards, Achievement Rewards, or as a bonus when buying Crystals in the Store.
Stars		Obtained by completing the Main Story Missions, by completing Daily Tasks, Mission Events , and by playing songs (as first clear rewards, etc.).
Unlimited Ticket		Obtained from Central Station Arcanum Rewards and some Achievement Rewards. Currency is no longer obtainable or purchasable.
Event Ticket		Obtained from Stamp Card Daily Rewards, Arcanum Rewards, Achievement Rewards, or by buying at the Store using Crystals.
Expanded Chart Voucher		Obtained from Events. Purchased at the Store for 80 Crystals.
Mission Clef		Obtained from Mission Events.
Star Point		Obtained from Concert Events.

Stars[]

"Apparently, these little sparkling fragments are pieces of memory, things only those who have had their hearts broken in the past can see. Another rumor is that these are naturally-occurring magical phenomena."

In-Game Description: Used to upgrade your Arcanum

This currency is only used to level up Arcanums. It takes 100 Stars to gain 1 level of a chosen Main Story Arcanum.

This currency cannot be bought with real world money.

Crystals[]

"Crystals let off strong musical energy. It's said that if you infuse them with magic, they'll light up and transform into music."

In-Game Description: Used to buy Song Packs, Event Tickets, and other items in the Store

This is a very versatile currency, and counts which Crystals are obtained Free (from Daily Tasks, Events, etc.) and which are Paid (bought with real money in the Store).

It can be used in the following ways:

Crystals can be used instead of Stars in Arcanums to gain levels. It will take 50 Crystals for 1 level of a chosen Arcanum.
In the Store, Crystals can be used to buy:
- Song Packs (costing from 200 - 600 Crystals each)
- Event Tickets (100 Tickets for 160 Crystals | 250 Tickets for 400 Crystals | 600 Tickets for 960 Crystals)*
- Expanded Chart Voucher (80 Expanded Chart Vouchers for 80 Crystals)
- Buy Songs (1 Song / 1 Classical Song costs 100 - 120 Crystals each)
- Flash Event Items*

* - Items with this can sometimes go on SALE for a Crystal discount price reduction.

Shells[]

"These Shells have been formed from the passage of time. Listen closely and you'll hear the faint crashing of summer waves and the warm tones of soft, contented voices."

In-Game Description: Used to unlock Collectibles.

Shells sole purpose is to buy items from the Collections of the game. The items you get in the Collections are related to some Achievements.

Event Tickets[]

"These used to be entry tickets to station piano contests, a very hot commodity back when The Composer was around. Now that he's gone, people have taken to throwing them away."

In-Game Description: Used to participate in Events.

In-Game Tooltip: Event Tickets are scattered all over the station. When you see one, tap to pick it up.

As stated, these allow entry to participate in Events of the game. Depending on the type of Event, a different entry amount of tickets shall be consumed.

Unlimited Ticket[]

In-Game Description: Special Tickets that let you enter an Event as many times as you'd like for 30 minutes without having to spend Event Tickets.

In-Game Tooltip: While using an Unlimited Ticket, you are still restricted by a given event's daily entry limit. You will also receive less Mission Clefs when failing a mission.

This currency is now unobtainable once all Arcanum and Achievement rewards are exhausted.

Blaze Starby[]

"The power of starlight collected into an orb."

It auto-activates once it is acquired. After activation, one of the random rewards will be earned:

Shell x10 (50%)
Shell x30 (25%)
Crystal x5 (10%)
Crystal x10 (10%)
Chart Shard x30 (4.5%)
Chart Shard x100 (0.5%)

If 30 Blaze Starbys are activated consecutively without getting Chart Shards, the 30th Blaze Starby will indeed earn you some Chart Shards and the count will restart.

Chart Shards[]

"Chart shards left scattered throughout the four corners of the world by the Composer. Keep collecting them and, one day, you will be able to piece together a beautiful song."

In-Game Description: For purchasing specific Songs at the Store

Chart Shards is a currency used to purchase songs in the Store labelled under the "Exclusive Song" section.

All songs in this category requires 100 Chart Shards each. The Exclusive songs are in the Special 02 - Star Bugaboo Album.

Once all songs are exchanged, any excess Chart Shards can be converted to Crystals after.

Expanded Chart Voucher[]

"A rare and valuable voucher. It is said that many great musicians would pay a fortune to get their hands on one!"

In-Game Description: Go to Store and exchange for Expanded Chart.

Expanded Chart Vouchers are used to buy Expert or Special charts for certain songs. It is found in the Store under the "Expanded Chart" section.

Coffee[]

"A delicious cup o' Coffee."

In-Game Description: Can be used after playing a song for extra Repair Progress and to advance through the story more quickly.

Coffee is a rare resource that is used to boost Repair Progress to accelerate the story progressions of each Chapter.

This can only be received as Rewards of Arcanums (Free, Premium and On-Purchase Rewards), and is unobtainable elsewhere.

Before V3.1.0, Coffee used to restore 5 concentration points of Radiance.
