The Begin menu is the menu from which the player can play levels, access Settings, ProgressDOS and Help, and use the Shut Down menu to restart or shut down the game. If you are already playing a level, Load save will change to Continue. If you press it, the menu will close and you can continue playing. New game will remain the same, but if you press it, the game mode you are playing will be closed, and it will cost you 1 heart to close it.
There are some alternatives to the Begin menu such as the Program Controller, the Launcher in BarOS, or the Main menu in B OS.
