Not be confused with the BarOS lineup of systems.
B OS is a special system introduced in version 0.9710. It is based on BeOS. It is split into two versions, otherwise called "kernels":
- PC version, available on Progress Computer (PC)
- BC version, available on Progresh
There are no major differences between these two versions aside from availability - the levels also synchronise between versions.
To unlock B OS, you have to unlock all BarOS systems, including BAR/X, and then gain 3000000 points.
According to the about menu, this system was released in around 1996 by Byte, the same year when Progressbar 95 plus was released and 1 year after BarOS 9 was released.

Trivia[]
- This is currently the only system available both on Progress Computer and Progresh.
- This is because BeOS was made for both PowerPC and x86 architectures.
- The voice in the startup sound says "B happy".[1]
- Within the about menu, there is also a button reading "Teapot test". Pressing the "Teapot test" button will open a performance test window. On the left side is a red Utah teapot spinning. On the right side is the currently used CPU and GPU by the system and the frames-per-second the teapot is spinning at (the higher the frames-per-second, the faster the animation).
- This might be possibly a reference to GLTeapot, a graphic demo from BeOS.
- The Utah teapot also represents the Dog in B OS.
- This system in the game's files is based on BarOS 8.
- The BC version of B OS, however, uses the Progresh Power 9000 (which is also used for BarOS 9) for its computer, but accidentally calls it "B OS (BC kernel)" for some reason.
- The only BarOS 8 assets that remain are the Filer folder icons, Leaderboard icon, social icons, Clippy's default character asset, and the Remove Ads icon.
- This is the only system that doesn't have a way to explore files in any form, despite BeOS being able to.
- This is the second system to not have a utility that bypasses the Blue Screen of Death. The first one is Progressbar Chitown and the third one is Progressbar95 (ver.0.2).
- Oddly enough, in the PC version of B OS, the Mailbox "That is my little baby!" easter egg still remains, just harder because the little paperclip is invisible.[2]
- In the BarOS 14 teaser, the BarOS boot menu has B OS unlocked but with BAR/X being locked.
- In B OS, if Bin is full, he will have yellow balls with black circles or stripes inside. This is a reference to the bee, which is an insect that shares its name pronunciation with the first part of the system's name: B OS.
- When the marker is in the red area in the overclock minigame, only the PC version of B OS's wallpapers are changed to red.
- B OS has the taskbar on the left side of the screen. However, BeOS has the taskbar on the right side by default.
