Monitors are one of the different computer components in Progressbar95. They are used to display a picture rendered by the Video Card or GPU. There are four main types of monitors:
- Cathode-ray Tubes (CRT),
- Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD),
- Organic light-emitting diode (OLED),
- Virtual Reality (VR).
The best display that can be unlocked is the VR Master (it used to be a 27' LCD Wide monitor). Starting with the default 13' CRT monitor to the 19' CRT monitor upgrade, a dithering effect is added on the edges of the screen, getting smaller with each upgrade. Upgrades from 14' LCD and on have no effect on the screen, but in the PC version, the overlay is removed after getting 19' LCD Wide monitor, and a flicker appears when a CRT monitor is being used.
The monitor can be configured by using the Display window in Settings.

Trivia[]
- In Progressbar systems, in monitors up to 31' LCD Wide, primes (denoting feet) are erroneously used instead of double primes (denoting inches).
- In the Display settings there is also a Degauss button (if you have a CRT display). Pressing it will make a bulge effect and it can be applied for many times until it is unavailable. After going out of the Display tab and going in again, you have one chance to press the Degauss button. But if you close the Display window, the counter resets. Degaussing the monitor will give you bonus points.
