Why I no longer have a roommate

The College Fix has a story that reminds me of something I experienced in college. The College Fix story is about a guy who awoke to a voice speaking in his roommate's computer. He recognized the voice as Ben Shapiro. Horrors! His roommate was listening to a Daily Wire Ben Shapiro podcast!
The student then filed a complaint with the administration’s bias reporting system against his roommate for watching the Shapiro video.

“Ben Shapiro is known for his inflammatory speech that criticizes and attacks the African American community,” the student wrote in his report against his roommate. “I thought hate had no place on MSU’s campus yet MSU has roomed me with someone who supports hate speach [sic].”

In response to the complaint, the university tasked an investigator to look into the matter, who was told to work for a “room change if the claimant would like one.”

I had a roommate who was studying to become a preacher. He would kneel beside his bed and loudly pray for me. He would ask God to guide me and forgive me for my various sins.

"The President's political advisor?"

Notice the CNN man at the beginning of the tape saying "arrested Roger Stone, the President's political advisor." I did not know Roger had that title. Could that be fake news?

Should we be worried about Trump or Iran?

Ben Shapiro writes at The Daily Wire,
...former Obama officials are now calling for foreign countries to withdraw their ambassadors from America and expel America’s ambassadors because we’re no longer going to funnel cash to the largest state sponsor of terrorism on the globe.

Ben is referring to a New York Times piece written Friday by two former top Obama officials.
So America wants to prevent Iran from gaining a bomb, and to protect its actual Middle Eastern allies from the predations of Iran’s non-nuclear aggression – and Obama’s team says Europe should throw America’s ambassadors out for this. Good luck with that one.

But then these Obama officials go further: they suggest that Europe should start sanctioning American companies.

...So we penalize companies doing business with one of the most evil regimes on the planet, and Team Obama wants Europe to stop doing business with America. Could we safely call this un-American?

The Renegade Party

Matthew Burke reports at Politistick that a new political party has been formed on Twitter. It is called the Renegade Party.
The new Twitter account is only following six individuals, which may provide a clue as to who has organized the party.

Besides Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, considered an establishment Republican, the account follows a group who would normally not be in 100 percent agreement on issues, from Tea Party-supported Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse , to more establishment types like 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, American Enterprise Institute’s Arthur Brooks, and General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal, along with former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, who also ran for the presidency in 2012, and even billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

...It’s interesting and more than ironic that the group would use the name “Renegade,” being that on Sunday, Breitbart News, ran a piece entitled, “Bill Kristol Republican Spoiler, Renegade Jew,” an opinion piece disparaging Kristol for not joining the Trump Train, a piece that former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro referred to as “garbage.”

The man holding the match

Ben Shapiro writes in The Daily Wire,
...Trump’s “something new” is something quite old, and quite un-American. If conservatives want a future, they must stand against him and his corrupt, bankrupt philosophy.

2016 could have been a time to reap the harvest of conservatism. Instead, Trump burned down the field.

It's time to plant anew. We should do so with alacrity rather than embracing the man holding the match.

Shapiro, Fields quit Breitbart

The continuing saga of the alleged assault of Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields by Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski took a new turn with the resignation of Fields and a Breitbart editor Sunday night, BuzzFeed reports. "Today I informed the management at Breitbart News of my immediate resignation," Fields said in a statement. "I do not believe Breitbart News has adequately stood by me during the events of the past week and because of that I believe it is now best for us to part ways." She repeated that sentiment in a tweet Monday. Ben Shapiro, Breitbart's editor-at-large, also quit, tweeting that he was doing so in support of Fields and adding in his own statement that the site's handling of the incident has "betrayed" late founder Andrew Breitbart and "put a stake through the heart of Andrew’s legacy." Fields alleges Lewandowski grabbed her arm and yanked her from asking Trump a question at a Florida presser, per the Washington Post.

Lewandowski and Trump have both denied it, and Breitbart's response thus far has been a post noting what Fields says happened couldn't have happened the way she said, followed by a brief statement saying it did stand behind her, followed by a supposed order from a top-level editor to Breitbart staffers not to publicly defend Fields. "[Breitbart News chairman] Steve Bannon is a bully, and has sold out Andrew's mission in order to back another bully, Donald Trump," Shapiro said. "He has shaped the company into Trump's personal Pravda, to the extent that he abandoned and undercut his own reporter." Breitbart, meanwhile, has its own take. "Ben Shapiro Betrays Loyal Breitbart Readers in Pursuit of Fox News Contributorship" reads a headline posted Monday that also accused BuzzFeed of "aiming to destroy Breitbart News since the moment Andrew Breitbart died." (Read both resignation statements in full.)

Kudos to Fields and Shapiro. Many of us are sick of the bias of our liberal media. We need to be equally as sick of bias from conservative media.
