Here ya go, Joe! You can use my massive campaign system until you get control of all those guns!

Sundance writes in the Conservative Treehouse,
Billionaire Mini-Mike Bloomberg spent more than $700 million in an effort to win the Democrat presidential nomination. He won American Samoa. Today mini-mike announces he is suspending his campaign and immediately endorses Joe Biden.

Bloomberg has a massive campaign system behind him, including thousands of campaign workers and a nation-wide network from his political committee activities around gun control. It is virtually certain Bloomberg will use a legally permissible independent expenditure and put the very expensive apparatus into play behind Biden.

Biden plans to ask Beto O'Rourke to help him "take care of the gun problem!"

In PJ Media, Tyler O'Neil writes,
No fewer than three former 2020 Democrats rallied around former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday: former Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn), and former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas). Beto dropped out of the presidential race after becoming ever more radical and foul-mouthed, to no avail. Among other things, he promised to uproot Americans from their homes and to strip the tax-exempt status of churches that disagree with him on same-sex marriage. Yet his most notorious statement came last September, when he said, "Hell yes, we're gonna take your AR-15."

If Joe Biden really were the moderate candidate the Democrat establishment and legacy media bill him as, you might expect him to minimize Beto's radical past. Perhaps he'd accept the endorsement, say some kind words about anything other than Beto's claim that he was "born" to run for president, and rush the radical off the stage.

But if you're expecting that, you don't really know Joe Biden. When it comes to digging himself out of holes, he seems to have a compunction to just dig deeper and deeper.

Right after Beto introduced Biden at the rally on Monday, the former VP effectively endorsed O'Rourke's gun confiscation plan in all of its divisive glory.

"I want to make something clear. I’m going to guarantee this is not the last you’ve seen of this guy. You’re going to take care of the gun problem with me, you’re going to be the one who leads this effort," the establishment Democrat declared.

He continued to sing Beto's praises, perhaps forgetting just what an obnoxious radical he was physically and rhetorically embracing.

"I’m counting on you, I’m counting on you. We need you badly, the state needs you, the country needs you, you’re the best," Biden said.

Sure, some of this is hyperbole. Biden was accepting Beto's endorsement, after all.

Some of this is smart political calculation. The establishment Democrats' chosen messiah knows that he needs to placate some of the radicals to chip away at Bernie Sanders' support.

Even so, this is terrifying. Biden said that a candidate who wants to use the IRS to ram a government religious belief on marriage down church's throats is "the best" and "badly" needed for Texas and for America. He said that a candidate who insisted on a "right" to live close to work — which involves forcibly removing Americans from their homes in pursuit of social justice — is a needed political leader.

Worst of all, he said that the Democrat who clearly threatened to take guns away from law-abiding Americans is "the best" — and the right person to "lead" the effort on "the gun problem." He said this a few months after good parishioners with guns took down a shooter at a Texas church last December, once again illustrating that guns themselves are not the problem.

Biden may not really be a radical. He may not believe everything he has been saying for the past few years — although it's dangerous to assume he's lying. He may really be a moderate in extreme leftist's clothing. But that doesn't really matter if he's going to be selecting the most radical former 2020 candidates to lead up major "reforms" like gun confiscation.

Rather than taking a truly moderate tack, the former vice president has lumped himself in with one of the most radical candidates in the 2020 cycle. Sure, Biden didn't honeymoon in the Soviet Union or say nice things about Fidel Castro, but he seems to be working hard to minimize any difference between himself and the open socialist he's running against.

"CNN hosts called for Texas to designate their churches "gun-free zones," so that the mentally ill can do whatever they please without being stopped by deranged conservatives."

Image

Another satirical gem from the Babylon Bee:
ATLANTA, GA—Churchgoer Jack Wilson shot and killed a mass shooter at West Freeway Church of Christ, preventing what could have been a much worse shooting.

But CNN reported on the event with the headline and caption "Trump voter shot a mentally ill man in a Texas church," causing some to question whether CNN might be a biased source of news.

"Once again we see that Trump voters are hopelessly wicked," said one somber anchor as footage came in of a shooting in a Texas church. "There is nothing they won't do to attack the oppressed, mentally ill community. All this man wanted to do was express his true identity and live out who he really is, and he was stopped by yet another psychotic Trump voter."

CNN hosts called for Texas to designate their churches "gun-free zones," so that the mentally ill can do whatever they please without being stopped by deranged conservatives.

Cruz refuses to accept gun control plan being circulated by DOJ and White HOuse

AWR Hawkins reports in Breitbart,
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) rejected the White House/Department of Justice (DOJ) universal background check plan that was circulated in a memo on Wednesday.
Breitbart News reported that the memo largely mirrored Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) gun control bill and would require the issuance of a “bill of sale” and the preservation of a “chain of title” for gun sales that do not currently require government oversight.

The Hill reports that Attorney General William Barr tried to talk Sen. Cruz into supporting the gun control, but Cruz would not.

Background checks have proven no barrier to mass shooters in America as nearly every mass shooter of the past 12 years acquired his guns via a background check. All the while, criminals are arrested on gun charges but not prosecuted to the fullness of the law.

Cruz summed this up, saying, “If we want to stop crimes, we need to focus on the bad guys, not the good guys.”

Black Panthers brandish weapons in support of Democrat candidate for governor in Georgia

Jason Hopkins reports in the Tennessee Star,
Members of the Black Panther Party marched through the city of Atlanta, strapped with assault rifles and brandishing Stacey Abrams campaign signs.

I wonder where Stacy Abrams stands on gun control. What do you want to bet she is for gun control? Read Hopkins' article here.

Surely not! She doesn't look like she could do such a thing!

At The Federalist, Juliana Knot reports,
Kellie Collins, a former congressional candidate in Georgia’s 10th District, was charged with the murder of her former campaign treasurer, Curtis Cain. The allegations of murder follow Collins’ advocacy for “responsible” gun control laws during her campaign. WSB-TV reports that she argued for stricter legislation “to protect the community.”

Police found Cain’s body in Collins’s apartment with a gunshot wound. Cain did not come in to work last Tuesday, prompting deputies to check in on him. Police estimated that he was dead for roughly a week.

"If you give up your guns, the government will protect you."

Oregon Muse writes about gun control at Ace of Spades.
"The gun control issue is actually pretty simple if you look to see who's on either side. Those who believe in 2A rights are usually decent, hard-working citizens more comfortable with their churches or communities than in a gargantuan federal government. On the other side, you have a whole degenerate parade of dictators, would-be dictators, busy-bodies, power-mad politicians, tatted out basement-dwellers with multi-colored hair, broke baristas, overweight feminist banshees, sissified soy boys, media potato-heads on CNN, know-nothing-because-they've-been-taught-nothing high school students, pig-ignorant gender studies majors, inbred college professors, Salon editors driven mad by their own inferiority, and assorted commies, pinkos, twinks, wonks, and weirdos. It's obvious what side I should be supporting."

Texas mom brings her kids to New York to see their daddy

Image

Brock Simmons reports at Gateway Pundit,
Last month we brought you the story of Deanna Jo Robinson, the Air Force veteran who brought her kids to see their father in New York, and was arrested for having a small pistol in her car. She has now been released on bail from Riker’s Island, but the charges are still pending.

On Veteran’s Day weekend, Robinson had traveled from Texas to New York, so her children could see their father. She brought her Smith & Wesson 9mm Shield handgun. As soon as they arrived at her ex-husband’s house, he apparently called the police, suspecting that she had a firearm in her car, even though she never mentioned it, never threatened anyone, never even had it in her hands. Coincidentally, New York has a $1000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest involving a firearm. PURE COINCIDENCE, of course. I mean, who would turn in their ex to the police out of vengeance in order to score some quick cash and use it as leverage for custody and divorce court? (sarcasm)

Approximately 20 NYPD officers responded to the call, rushing her car, dragging her out by her hair, slamming her down on the pavement, face first, while screaming all sorts of conflicting orders at her. She’s lucky she didn’t get Daniel Shaver’ed. They searched her car with no warrant, confiscating her gun and several personal items, such as her phone, computer, a small video camera, boots, and early Christmas presents. Her car was immediately impounded. This took place at approximately 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 11th. She was kept at a precinct until around 8:00 PM, with no water, no food, and no phone call, despite her pleading for such.

She was then taken to central booking, where she was held until about 2:00 AM on Monday, November 13th. At that point, she was loaded onto a bus and taken to the women’s center at Riker’s Island, before any court, any charges formally filed, before she could speak with an attorney, before any bond was set, before she was even in front of a judge. She was kept at Riker’s Island until November 24th, when $15,000 of bail had been raised, thanks primarily to the fundraising page on Funded Justice.

Scott McDonald, allegedly the Bronx District Attorney working on Deanna Jo Robinson’s case, instead of working on rape and murder cases.

Robinson is now out on bail, but is still facing charges. The specific charge is apparently one count of “criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree”, New York Penal Law S 265.03, which reads:

A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree when:

(1) with intent to use the same unlawfully against another, such person:

(a) possesses a machine-gun;  or

(b) possesses a loaded firearm;  or

(c) possesses a disguised gun;  or

(2) such person possesses five or more firearms;  or

(3) such person possesses any loaded firearm.  Such possession shall not, except as provided in subdivision one or seven of section 265.02 of this article, constitute a violation of this subdivision if such possession takes place in such person’s home or place of business.

Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree is a class C felony.

The “class C felony” would be considered a “violent crime”.

Scott Gary McDonald, looking disappointed. And like an ogre.

The Bronx assistant District Attorney handling the case appears to be one Scott Gary McDonald. Scott McDonald is refusing to comment on the case, as he cannot tell this author how these charges are consistent with “shall not be infringed”, how this is not an infringement, and how many cases involving rape, murder, and armed robbery the Robinson case is taking time and resources away from. Scott McDonald’s public office phone number is 718 838 7078. His boss, elected Bronx County District Attorney Darcel Clark, can be reached at her (?) office number, 718 590 2000.

Robinson has opted to stay in the New York, in large part because her children have now been ripped from her, kidnapped by the NYC “Administrative Child Services” (ACS), claiming to have emergency jurisdiction. She is not allowed to see her kids, and neither are the kids’ grandparents. Though they don’t list their number on their official website, this “child services” outfit can be reached at 718-933-1212. Robinson had previously been awarded custody by a court in Texas.

“Child Services” is supposed to give Robinson three weekly visits with her children, with a minimum of two hours per visit. So far that hasn’t happened. Instead, her children are kept with total strangers, in a large urban city which they had never been to and don’t know anything about. As toddlers, they don’t understand why they can’t just go home with momma. Robinson is now fighting in family court, in addition to the criminal courts.

Robinson’s next court date is December 21st.

A broken system

Richard Pollock reports at The Daily Caller,
More than 100,000 convicted felons or other “prohibited persons” tried to buy guns each year during President Barack Obama’s administration by lying on their applications, but the Justice Department only considered prosecuting about 30 to 40 people each year, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation.

The Obama administration may have publicly aligned itself with anti-gun activists, but it consistently turned a blind eye to prosecute known criminals who tried to buy guns.

A June 2016 Justice Department Inspector General’s report revealed that between 2008 and 2015 the U.S. Attorneys office considered prosecuting “less than 32 people per year” for lying on form 4473, the federal application to buy guns.

Surprisingly, the Obama administration’s harshest critics are gun manufacturers themselves.

What would you have used, Joe?

Stephen Willeford should not have had the gun he used to shoot the man who shot up the Texas church. That is what Joe Biden said on the Today Show Monday. Ryan Saavedra reports here and there is a video also.

Ensuring they will lose

Mark Steyn writes,
The reason the Sutherland Springs killer was able to get his guns turns out to be a fairly typical bureaucratic cock-up:

A day after a gunman massacred parishioners in a small Texas church, the Air Force admitted on Monday that it had failed to enter the man's domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people.

So we need to pass even more duplicative or contradictory laws against this and that in order to increase the likelihood that the government paperwork shufflers will comply with the one that might have made a difference.

Whenever the left is talking about "gun control", they're lessening their chance of ever getting any. Americans like their guns and, even more fiercely, their right to have them. So the only way you could impose "gun control" is by sly, subtle, barely detectable measures that steal gun rights away bit by bit in the dead of night. When the Dems demand a "national conversation" on the subject, they're ensuring they'll lose.

Two Obama gun control orders repealed this week!

Image
Trump administration has repealed two last minute Obama gun control orders this week. One was repealed by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke today on his first day on the job! Awr Hawkins reports at Breitbart,
The ban was contained in Director’s Order 219–from National Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe–and it required regional directors to work with state-level agencies to begin phasing out the use of lead ammunition on Federal land.

On February 28 President Trump signed the repeal of Obama’s Social Security gun ban. The White House explained that the Social Security gun ban was repealed on grounds that it “would prevent some Americans with disabilities from purchasing or possessing firearms” and “could endanger the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizens.”
