the good sore throat
last week i was dealing with an allergy-related sore throat. thanks to the Sharks, i'm tending to a much more worthy sore throat! of course, my stomach was in knots the whole day and that didn't end during the game, but by the end of the night i was able to relax. a little. great game, awesome job by Nabby, great job by all the fans to acknowledge him at the end of the game to let him know how well he played.

move over, rawr
fortunately the rawr! mood gave way, i think in part thanks to L's reminder of one of the greatest songs ever. ;-)
last week was a busy one in a non-productive way - finally had to get my *@#& together for lab meeting, which i did electronically but still not really on paper. (*@#&, in this case, translates to data). got that out of the way on friday and then succumbed to allergies. blech. so this past weekend was sleep, sleep, wake up to feel crappy, then sleep. but i'm happy to say i feel much better now. a Sharks win will always do that. :-)
on a sad note, my very first favorite hockey player passed away today. certainly not a headline i expected to see any time soon. i'm gonna miss The Duke.
in the wake of all the worldly disasters that seem to occur on a daily basis, it has me really wanting to retreat into a bubble. of course, it would have room for hockey, dogs, and my buddies. who wants to come along?
