My Valentine's Day flowers

Jared hates valentine's day...the "Hallmark" holiday as he likes to call it. So I was shocked when he brought home flowers for me on Thursday...truth be told it wasn't valentine's day so he didn't really give into Valentine's day hoopla!! Tulips have always been "our" flower and they are absolutely gorgeous! I am so lucky to have married such a wonderful man!

23 Weeks...118 days left to go!

I had to post an actual bare belly shot...especially since I hear my brother thinks I stick out my belly for each picture...trust me I don't, its the real thing! Next week I will officially be in my third trimester. Still can't believe it. The past few days have been a little rough though. I've had intense growing pains...meaning the round ligaments on either side of my belly are stretching to accommodate our growing little bean. It was so bad last night I could hardly walk when getting up from the sitting position...and forget getting out of bed in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom...I just about fell over! Its completely normal, but painful non-the-less! The baby also likes to settle in the lower left corner of my belly. My belly gets hard wherever the baby is situated but I can usually push a little to get him/her to move positions...key word "usually", this kid is stubborn =) Even though I've been uncomfortable I know growing pains are good and my body is taking care of our baby and the baby's kicks let me know he/she is alive and well. And I have been so blessed with this pregnancy that if growing pains are the worst I have to endure, I embrace them!
