Jayne was being really quiet and I found her moving sissy "into position" and trying to diaper over her pajamas!

My friend Brooke and I are having a garage sale and decided to do it both Friday and Saturday mornings. Well since we both had our girls today we just let them run around and play while we managed everything. They played so well together and kept each other occupied for the most part. It was really a great day. Here's hoping tomorrow is even better and we sell everything!! I will be kidless tomorrow though, whoo hoo!!!

Here is what Savannah was doing while we worked/played today...she is such a good baby!

After Jared finished work he wanted to take the girls to the park. We had so much fun and even met a new friend, who ironically enough lives across the street form my friend Allison. Its such a small world! Jayne & Joshua loved chasing each other and playing on the slides!

After the park daddy surprised Jayne by taking her to get ice cream. She got the cutest little kiddie cone and of course loved it. Its sugar, whats not to love??!!

And she got free tokens to ride the pony!

Celebrating the 4th...blocked off the street for our block party and daddy decorated the car!!

Happy 4th of July!!

We have had such a fabulous weekend! Sunday night was our block party...we had a great turnout but boy was it hot. We began setting up around 3pm and it was miserable! Our neighbors were amazing and had tables/tents/fans/coolers full of ice. And Jen's parents came over to help watch their kids and offered to watch ours inside as well whenever they needed to cool off. They were such a blessing! Poor Savannah gets the brightest cheeks when it shot outside. Of course we had so much food and yummy margaritas, desserts. Ugh, its making me hungry even now!

And then today we spent the morning at the pool with Jared's aunt & uncle and our friends the Millers. Then at nap time Jen and I took off for some much needed girl time/retail therapy =) To cap off the night we headed as a family to meet back up with the Millers at our city's 4th of July festival. It was smaller than expected but it was fun to check it out, listen to music and eat cotton candy (until Jayne dumped the bag on the ground!!). On our way home Jared spotted a park from the road that we never saw so we went to check it out and it was awesome!! The bets aprk we've found in the area thus far. It has a smaller area for toddlers, a bigger play area with five slides, monkey bars etc, bathrooms, shade...we cant wait to head back over there for some fun. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me so no pictures, but Jayne was super cute running around and going down the slide like a big girl!!

Fireworks...but not ours. We only had small fireworks this year but three groups of neighbors around us gave us a good idea of what to do next year!

Project 365- Days 181 & 182

Image
I LOVE dressing my girls alike. Some people think its silly, but I love it! I bought Jayne these pj's months ago and just happened to come across a pair in the same fabric for Savannah from a totally different store and on sale. Double score!! They looked so cute before bed that I had to take their picture (bows and all)!! I love how bright S's eyes look and how dark J's look. My to totally different, but equally loved baby girls!

Saturday was our 6th anniversary (can you believe it??!!) And after a very yummy breakfast of pancakes, bacon and fruit, we packed up and spent the afternoon at the pool. Jayne & I got some wonderful sun time =)

We don't normally do gifts for anniversary's...but we always do cards. I'm the type of person who doesn't need gifts but love to get cards. On my birthday I always Tell Jared to just get me a card and cake and I am one happy girl! We did have my friend Allison come over to sit at the house while the girls slept and we went to dinner. I saw recently that we had a Sakura's Japanese steakhouse here and thought it was the same as the one in Toledo (which I LOVE!!). Same name but definitely not the same feel. This was was run down and not as new/nice but the food was still pretty good! And on the way home we ran through Steak 'n Shake for yummy shakes...perfect ending to a perfect 6th anniversary!!

We also had a nice dinner Friday before our anniversary at home. I put the girls to bed and came down to find this....

Isn't my hubby sweet??!! I love surprises like this from him. We had a yummy steak dinner (on our brand spanking new, non-glass table) with the best fresh corn we've had in years. It was another perfect night...suffice it to say we've had a great weekend! And tonight is our neighborhood block party. Well a small part of the "hood". My neighbor Jen and I thought it would be fun to have a little block party for our end of the road and we invited a few others form the "hood" that we've met at the pool. We have no idea how many people to expect but I'm sure it will be fun. Jared even bought a bunch of fireworks which we tested last night...so fun! We plan to either let Jayne stay up late (if shes not cranky) or wake her up for fireworks. Hopefully she'll like them!

Here are more out-takes from my shoots with the girls....
