Galerie d'art (Weekend Street/Reflections # 194)

Image
Paris, France
I don't remember exactly where I took this picture but I think it was around ten years ago in the 6th arrondissement, rue des Saints-Pères
Merci kwarkito !

Un fameux crocodile (Weekend Street/Reflections #169)

Image
Paris, France

This was a popular brand at my junior high school (a long time ago). Students known as "preppies" wore shirts with this iconic crocodile. Have you ever worn clothing from Lacoste? I haven't.

Deux Drapeaux (Weekend Street/Reflections # 165)

Image
Paris, France

At first, you might think it's a patriotic dragon on the poster with "le tricolore" tattooed on its neck, but it's a reflection of the flag on top of l'Hôtel Lutetia across the street.

Place Juliette Gréco 2 (Weekend Street/Reflections # 154)

Image

 Paris, France

I took this picture either right before or after I took the picture of the crossword puzzle lady in Weekend Street/Reflections # 147. The dog seemed to resent the fact that his owner didn't seem to understand the concept of walking. 😏

Place Juliette Gréco (Weekend Street/Reflections # 147)

Image
Paris, France                                 Mots croisés au parc

A woman doing crossword puzzles in a little park. It's a good way to keep your mind sharp. I should do a few of them because my mind has become very dull recently.😲

Yveline Antiques (Weekend Reflections # 567)

Image
Paris, France

Unfortunately this wonderful shop was closed, but that didn't stop kwarkito and me from finding reflections. Plus, there were plenty of interesting things to see from outside, like this chandelier.

"In 1954, in Saint-Germain des Prés, Yveline opened her gallery on Place Furstemberg. For decades, she brought together furniture and objects, paintings and curiosities that came to life in a poetic and wonderful world. Today Agathe, Yveline's granddaughter continues this story, steeped in the magical and refined world of her Grandmother. This very special place continues to seduce over time, artists and writers, theater and cinema people, passers-by from the neighborhood and from around the world ..."

Welcome to the Twilight Zone (Weekend Reflections # 559)

Image Paris, France

Just a head in a window and some blurred reflections.

2020 feels like the Twilight Zone to me. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Have a great weekend!

Librairie Alain Brieux (Weekend Reflections # 548)

Image
Paris, France

I think this is concave mirror. The reflections appear small and upside-down. Last month after a nice lunch, my friend Arnaud (kwarkito) showed me some amazing shops. This one was small but amazing. I guess you could call it a curiosity shop. It had all sorts of interesting things from old books to antique medical devices. It even had petrified dinosaur eggs!

Happy reflecting!

Reflected French Waiters (Weekend Reflections # 185)

Image
Paris, France  (Cours du Commerce Saint André)

The two chatting waiters and the chalkboard were behind me but I captured their reflections in the window in front of me. For those who can't read backwards and/or French the chalkboard says Brunch every Sunday, Happy Hour is at 6pm and you can watch the six nations rugby tournament.

Bon Week-end!
