One night in Bologna (Weekend/Street Reflections # 196)

Image
Bologna, Italy                 Piazza San Domenico

A man and a car under the branches of a large tree remind us how small humans are.

                                            Have a great weekend!

  Link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless there is a reflection.

The Conversation (Weekend Street/Reflections # 118)

I couldn't understand what they were saying but their greeting and passionate conversation led me to believe they were old friends or sisters reunited after a long time.

American Graffiti Diner (Weekend Street/Reflections # 70)

Image

 Bologna, Italy

Looking trough the window I saw a big Italian smile in a kitschy American-style diner. She seemed pleased to see me. I didn't go inside but I've been to a few similar places in Europe. Some of the best hamburgers I've had were in France.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

A Friendly Italian Dog (Weekend Street/Reflections #62)

Bologna, Italy

The man was trying to get the dog to kiss his cheek. I took the shot but missed the dog's jump.

Next Stop, Bologna Centrale (Weekend Street/Reflections # 13)

Image
Bologna, Italy

It was 2014. We were on a train from Florence to Venice or maybe it was from Venice to Florence. My wife was trying to read a book called "Cat Bearing Gifts" while the two women were having a slightly loud conversation. Maybe I should have paid extra for “la carrozza silenzio.” Just kidding. They didn't bother my wife and I found them entertaining.

A Towering Reflection (Weekend Reflections # 390)

Image
Bologna, Italy                            Asinelli Tower

Like last week, this is a reflection in a window. This impressive tower is 97 meters (318 feet) tall and was built in the 12th century. 900 hundred years old, wow! My wife climbed the 498 steps to the top and was rewarded with a spectacular view.

Unfortunately, the blue sky and tower are not the only things reflected. There are also power lines and scaffolding.  You can also see light fixtures and an air vent but they are behind the glass and not reflections.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
