Set it up in 4 steps
Connect Slack.
Open Embed & API, find Slack under Connectors and press Connect. Pick your Slack workspace and approve the app.
Choose a channel.
Back in LaunchList, the channel list opens. Pick one for this project and press Save. For a private channel, type
/invite @LaunchListin it in Slack first, then refresh the list.Send a test message.
Press Send test to check the channel works before a real signup arrives.
Pick what posts.
Each new signup, milestones and an optional daily or weekly digest each have a switch. Edit Signup message to change the card itself, filled in with your latest signup. Change the headline, and which details show and in what order. Names and email addresses show only in a private channel, and you can hide them there too.
What the channel gets
A new signup card, a milestone when your list reaches 10, 100, 1,000 signups and more, and, if you turn it on, a digest of the day's or week's signups and referrals at 08:00 UTC. A digest is skipped when there were no signups. Each has its own switch, and one switch pauses the lot while keeping your choices.
Up to 10 single signups an hour post for each project. Past that, one summary posts when the hour is up, so a launch day does not bury the channel.
Write the signup message yourself
You edit the signup card itself, filled in with your latest signup, so you see exactly what will post. Write
the headline and drop in the signup's name, source or any other value with @. Below it, choose the details
that show, such as email, source, campaign, referrer, country, position, trust, your total signups and the
answers to your form's questions, then rename them or drag them into the order you want.
Names stay in private channels
Names and email addresses appear only in a private channel that is not shared with another organization. Anywhere else, a message shows where a signup came from and never who it is. In a private channel you can hide them too.
When something breaks
If LaunchList is removed from the channel, the channel is archived or Slack's access is revoked, LaunchList tells you in the app and by email, and says what to do. Signups keep being collected as usual. Only the Slack messages pause.
One Slack workspace, one channel per project
One Slack workspace connects to one LaunchList workspace, and each project posts to one channel. Only people who can manage integrations can connect or change it.
Signups in Slack are a copy of your audience
Each message puts a person's details in Slack, outside LaunchList. Post to a private channel. When you erase a signup, LaunchList deletes its Slack messages about them where Slack lets it. After you disconnect Slack, it can no longer delete the ones already posted.
Other events, your own words
The app covers signups, milestones and digests. For referrals, rewards or bounces, or a message worded your way, send the matching webhook event to Zapier, Make or n8n and add a Slack step.
