Final Blog Post

Well that's a wrap... I have spent the last 14 years creating blog posts for Brody & Wesley to have pictures and important information on their childhood.  

It has been a labor of love documenting our lives to print yearly for each of the boys on their birthday.  I am going to try something new that is faster and easier, we are going to try using Instagram chapbooks instead.  This blog is a private account with access only to our family & close friends.  We have it set up the same way on Instagram - you can find us @kimnewcombe_

Holiday Fun with Some of our Favorites

The Pearson's hosted a super fun night filled with festive activities!  They had a cookie decorating bar set up and several holiday games.  We played pictionary with all Christmas words.   They also set up minute to win it filled with funny games where each family worked together to compete against the other families.   We sang Christmas carols as a group and enjoyed listening to Audra and Steve who are crazy talented.   Love this crew of ours so much!

Santa's Posse

One of our favorite traditions is delivering gifs & food to families in need with the Santa's Posse.  The boys love seeing the happy and grateful faces when we make the deliveries.  This year we had a family with 5 kids.  Most of the family greeted us at the door with overwhelming gratitude and the 7 year old was standing in the window waving with the biggest smile on her face.  Love teaching the boys about the gift of giving!  

This year Matt and Brody were at the cabin working on a project so it was just the two of us playing Santa.   I enjoyed special time with my little buddy spreading Christmas CHEER!

December Lake Life

Wesley Soccer

Indoor soccer is so fast paced and fun to watch!  One of the games Wesley scored 2 goals back to back.  Wesley's teacher who he adores is also coaching his indoor team.  Love our soccer family!

Fa-la-la-llama

Llama Llama no holiday drama!  The boys sadly decided they were too old for Santa pictures this year... but they were totally up for pictures with a llama dressed as a reindeer.  This is my new favorite holiday tradition - alpacas and llamas are the cutest and such funny animals!!!  We had the best time feeding and loving on these sweet animals.  We were given a tour of their adorable farm in Ridgefield and we were able to pick which animal we wanted for our picture.  Wesley said the one we selected was like a model but the other ones were full of personality.  Pretty sure we need 4 alpacas now!   Fun day with buddies.
