Wesley is now at Sunset intermediate school and Brody is at View Ridge middle school!!!  They are in the same building.... Wesley is at the big school and Brody is now in true middle school where they switch classes.  Was sad to send them off this year but happy that they get to be with friends and have a more normal year (minus the masks and social distancing).

Sitka Alaska Girls Adventure Trip - Zodiac Ride

The zodiac ride was a favorite - I giggled the entire time!!!  The zodiacs go extremely fast and skim on top of the water - it makes for a wild and bouncy ride.  We got to see bald eagles, dolphins, otters, and a helicopter rescue practice.

Sitka Alaska Girls Adventure Trip - Bears

We did see a mama bear and 2 cubs in the wild on our RTV ride.  The bear sanctuary was a highlight of the trip!!!  They are such funny animals and seem so sweet.  There was one of them doing tricks for food and other ones playing.   I would have gone in the cage to play with them if I could - too cute.

This was a long and steep hike with LOTS of stairs and rocks to climb.  Sadly Mo twisted her ankle very bad about 3 miles to the finish.  It made for a very looooooooong end of the hike in the pouring down rain.  We made the best of it by going slow to take care of Mo while taking in the wild flowers and views.  We hid under tree coverage while she was making progress and then ran to keep warm to the next tree or bush.
