Camano Island - Crabbing

Brody's favorite activity was going out on the boat crabbing and searching for the little ones on the beach!    They got a total of 8 keepers, at least 10 they put back and Brody even got to drive the boat.   Brody loved cracking and eating the crab... Wesley would not even try it.   On one of our little adventures Brody kept talking about our shadows and how they were almost the same size so we took a picture holding the bucket together.   He is getting so big! 

Camano Island - Happy Campers

The boys took turns camping outside with Papa.  They both slept out there all night and loved their first tent experience.  

Camano Island - Dirt Dessert

My parents played a little joke on the boys - I really wish we had it on video bc it was hilarious!   The "plant" had been sitting out and we were all in the kitchen talking when my dad asked the boys if they liked to eat dirt... then he started digging in.  My dad played it off perfectly!   The boys were laughing hysterically and they were egging him on to eat more.   When Papa found a worm (gummy) they started screaming when he took a bite.   Wesley was first to say he would try dirt and of course he LOVED it - yummy combo of ground up Oreos on top of fruit with cool whip and gummy worms.  The next day Wesley kept asking for the "bark dust" dessert.  We all had a lot of laughs after the fact - the boys thought it was the best!!!

Camano Island - Fishing

The fishermen caught 2 small fish... bullnose and flounder.  The park there was so fun!  Wesley loved this 4 person teeter-totter.  The boys also played at the really cool park by Mimi & Papa's house.

Camano Island - Deer

We were able to meet the adorable young buck that hangs out in the neighborhood.   Wesley really wanted a picture with him where they were both looking.   He would watch him and when the deer would look up he would quickly turn around and say "now mommy".   We picked a bunch of apples and put them in the yard hoping to meet the mommy and baby deer that hang out in the neighborhood as well.  

Camano Island - Baking with Mimi

The boys did a lot of baking with Mimi!  Making these "spider bites" was a fun and messy favorite.   They were also yummy.  They really needed their bath after this activity.  

Camano Island - Crafts

We played with sidewalk chalk, made big bubbles, painted rocks/shells, built and played with pirate ships, made flubber which kept Wesley busy for hours pretending like he was baking with all of Mimi's utensils.
