Bringing Treats to Grandma and Food to Grandpa

Grandma had a health complication and had to spend 6 days at Legacy hospital (12.21).  She had blood clots in her bladder that were very painful and during the testing they found a mass on her kidney.   We are impatiently waiting for them to be able to get her into OHSU to remove a kidney, the mass and blood clot that is lodged in a vein.  We are very hopeful that they will be able to remove the kidney and hopefully she will be good as new.  BIG hugs and prayers - we LOVE you Grandma!

Lake Fun with Kinnee, Carlsen and McGeachy Families

So good to see the Kinnee family who we have not gotten together with since 2020 NYE trip!  The Kinnee's introduced us to the Carlsen's back in 2005 where Ericka and I were both in their wedding.  Scott, Mike and Matt grew up together so they all go way back.  Was fun to get everyone together - the kids all played like they have know each other forever.  Such a great weekend with wonderful friends - heart is full!!! 

Thanksgiving 2021

Beyond thankful for time with family!!!   Poor Wesley got his second migraine on Thanksgiving.  Thankfully we had the anti-nausea medication and Motrin to give him as soon as he started feeling dizzy.  He bounced back very quickly and was able to enjoy dinner.  

Turkey Trot - 5K

Love this holiday tradition and time with family, auntie and friends!  We werel very impressed with Wesley - he beat all of us running a 6:05 min mile!!!  We kept expecting to see him drop back and walk but he just kept on pushing through.  Thanks to Jeff for running with our little guy!

80's Bunco Night

 

80's bunco was a BLAST!  We have the funnest friends!!! 

Wesley - 1st Migrane Age 10

Poor Wesley had his first migraine 11.21 (age 10).   He woke up in the middle of the night very dizzy and did not sleep from 1am until the morning because he was spinning.  When he tried to get up he threw up.  Poor guy threw up a total of about 15 times that day.  The only way he could control the spinning a little was to keep his head and eyes perfectly straight.  I took him into the doctor... she said these symptoms are unusual for a kid his age and that it could be 1 of 4 things - migraine, viral infection, vertigo or a tumor.   She prescribed an anti-nausea medication, high dose Motrin and said if it did not go away in 1-3 days that we needed to get him in for further testing.  If it went away in 1 day it was a migraine, 2-3 days viral infection and if it took longer than it would be one of the other 2 options.  Thank God it went away the next day.  It was so awful seeing our baby miserable!

Shoe Drive

Brody's baseball team is collecting shoes to help people in need get back on their feet.  Brody was able to pass his goal and collected 275 pairs of shoes!!!  HUGE thanks to all our wonderful family and friends for your help!  

Wesley Basketball

Wesley is enjoying Boys & Girls Club 5th/6th grade basketball.  He is on a team with best buddy Colt with 2 amazing coaches.

We spoiled our girl with multiple walks, lots of love, puppuccino, treats, toys and extra snuggles.  Gracie May you have our hearts!!!

Pumpkin Celebration - Adult Night Out

Jeff & Jeff won again this year with close to a 1,000 pound pumpkin!  The Pearson's rented a limo and we celebrated by going to a winery on the waterfront and then out for a nice dinner.  Then went for a fun limo ride to a dive bar in downtown Ridgefield for some dancing and back to our house.  We had the BEST night.... it might have taken 2 days to recover but worth all the laughs and fun memories made!
