DesBiens Family Christmas Party
Big thanks to Jeanne and Kent for hosting the DesBiens family Christmas party for 48 people! We had a wonderful time with everyone. It is always fun with this group - we feel very lucky to be a part of this family.
Poor Brody got bit by a dog (2 different times). He is a very sweet dog and was just trying to play but sure scared Brody.
The cute sailor hats came from Aunt Adelle - THANKS :) The last picture is Wesley participating in the girls gift exchange.
Big Tree
The neighbor girls brought Brody & Wesley over to their house to check out their big tree. The boys were very impressed!
Coffee talk
On the weekend days Matt and I usually have a cup of coffee together in the formal living room and talk when we first wake up. Sometimes the boys sit with us and chat but most days they play with toys until we finish.
This Sunday the boys did not come into wake us up, instead we heard them turn on the light and head to the living room. I went out to check on them and found both boys sitting in their own chairs just like we normally sit. I asked what they were doing and Wesley said in a very casual matter of fact way "Oh... just talking about stuff, you can go back to sleep".
I went back to bed to leave them alone and we listened to them talk for over 30 minutes - it was hilarious! Just a few of their conversations:
W - do rattle snakes swim?
B - I don't know, but our garter snakes swim across the pond
W - do you want to know why I potty in my diaper?
B - sure
W - I just do
W - we should make mommy and daddy breakfast
B - what should we make?
W- olives
B - but I am not allowed to use the opener by myself and those are for lunch/dinner
There was lots of talk about toys and what they wanted to do the rest of the day.
