17 Week Doctor Appointment

Brody went with us to our 17 week doctor appointment.  He was interested in all the medical equipment and being able to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time.  The heart rate was 160 and everything is right on track.  Our OBGYN gave Brody some animal crackers for being such a great big brother.   I can not believe we are already HALF way through this pregnancy at 4 1/4 months this Saturday. 

Comerford Family Christmas

Late morning we went to my parents house to celebrate. Brody really got into opening gifts by the third round. A few favorite things were bongo drums, real guitar, and fun books.  Brody wanted to help everyone else with their gifts as well. My parents put us up in the neighbors house that they rent out as a vacation home. We woke up in a room w a panoramic view of the ocean and were able to sleep in while my parents and sister took care of Brody.  We felt like we were on a mini vacation.

Date Night

Grandma really wanted to have Brody over for a slumber party so we had an entire night and the next day - just the two of us.  We decided to have a date night, sleep in, and go shopping.  Matt's employees got us a gift card to El Gaucho, one of our favorite restaurants, for Christmas.  Thanks IGN and grandma/grandpa for the perfect night!!!

Big Brother

Our little family is going to be a “party of 4”.  I am currently 14 weeks pregnant, due on June 11th.

Brody is saying “baby” a lot – it is so cute. We are excited for him to have a live in buddy!

13 Week Ultrasound

This is our second ultra sound with baby number two.  We get to have extra ultra sounds early in the pregnancy because of my hypo-thyroid.    We LOVE being able to see the little cutie-pie bounce around and wave at us.  The baby is about 2 1/2 inches long at this point.  The heart rate was at 175 today and was at 160 during our 13 week appointment with Dr. Hutchinson.  Both of the ultra sound techs said that we have an extremely active little one in there.  Being able to see the baby finally makes the pregnancy feel real :) 

One my good guy friends from Schering said "the baby looks so comfy in there, it reminds me of sleeping in a hammock.  he/she looks like they are on a luxurious vacation"  made me laugh.   

Thanksgiving

We spent thanksgiving day with Noreen's side of the family.  She has 11 brothers/sisters and everyone has kids, so family functions are very fun and busy with all of them.  We celebrated thanksgiving on Saturday with both of our immediate families.  This was the day we shared our exciting news.  Brody came out wearing his "big brother" shirt.  No one even noticed... after about 30 min we told them that Brody had something to share and then they figured it out.  Everyone was extremely excited!!!
