The Building Character pack is an add-on content pack.

In WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition, this add-on pack was revealed in the Building Character DLC (and 1.0.8l) Released! developer's blog with further previews and information available in its own support article. It contains two additional sets of five coats for a total of ten coats based on real wolves who once roamed Yellowstone National Park, and unlocks new modifiers in the Body and Eye tabs in the Customize Wolf interface.

It is an optional customization add-on available as of Early Access version 1.0.8l and later.

In WolfQuest: Classic, this add-on pack with its modifiers and its set of coats does not exist.

In Legacy versions of WolfQuest, this set of coats does not exist.

In the Anniversary Edition, this pack is distributed via a separate one-time DLC purchase on Steam, found here.

On Itch.io, the player must buy the pack via the in-game customization interface. Attempt to select and confirm a coat or modifier belonging to any set included in this pack, and follow the on-screen instructions to purchase the add-on content.

Anniversary Edition Trivia

The implementation of DLC in the Anniversary Edition remake tethers purchased DLC to the third-party WolfQuest account.
- Hypothetically, this could mean that a banned or disabled account would also result in the owner losing purchased DLC. Whether this is true remains unknown.
This pack is one possible prize in the WolfQuest Team's monthly contests.
This pack must be purchased, owned and installed for its coats and modifiers to show on NPC wolves and grown pups in single-player. It is not required to see other players' wolves with its coats or modifiers in multiplayer.
If this pack is not owned, the game will refuse to load saves whose wolves have dependencies belonging to any of its add-on unless the player is able to edit the wolf and remove the conflicts.
The body, ear, and tail customizations are not genetic. They will not be passed on to offspring.
- Despite being a genetic possibility, the same applies to the short tail modifier.
