Fosse Park Bluebells

A Bluebell wood near the Osiers Bridge motorway junction at Fosse Park Leicester is surrounded by busy roads on all sides. This hidden oasis of calm comes alive in the spring when hundreds of Bluebells create a carpet of blue and bees flit from flower to flower in the sunshine, the vast sea of blue is broken only by the occasional bright yellow dandelion and small rabbits hopping quickly in and out of the cover of the tall flowers.

Springtime Flowers

A warm sunny Sunday in Springtime bursts into a riot of colour as flowers finally get a chance to put on a display after unseasonably cold weather griped the UK during the start of the year. In my short film the Daffodils and Tulips shine as they look up to a blue cloudless sky soaking up the sunlight that has been hidden for so long behind stormy snow clouds, The Bees and a Bombyliidae or Bee fly hovers like a humming bird using his long needle like mouth to drink the pollen from the flowers as the temperature rises, could spring finally be on its way ?.
