LCFC Champions Weekend

This is the story of a historic weekend for Leicester City Football club and its fans as they lift the Sky Bet Championship Trophy and gain promotion #StraightBackUp to the Premier League. With promotion secured my film features the party atmosphere at the King Power stadium on the last fixture of the season a game against a struggling Blackburn Rovers (who won the game 0-2 ! ) and the pre and post game celebrations from the stands as the team lift the trophy high. The party continues into Sunday as we arrive in Leicester city centre for the open top bus parade through the streets starting at Highcross Shopping Centre with it's LED beacons proudly proclaiming the teams Champions status. Onto the streets and we see the players and chairman Khun Top riding a big blue open top bus decorated with Straight Back Up in large letters and waving to the hundreds of fans who line the streets waving flags and cheering. Further along the street and people line the tops of buildings as the team ...

Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Statue

A look at the newly unveiled (at time of publication) Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Statue. Seen pre-match at the King Power Stadium as Leicester City hosted PSV Eindhoven in the Europa Conference League, this was many fans first look at the memorial to a great and generous man. The bronze statue stands with thumbs up and is situated outside the stadium on a blue plinth, forming a lasting reminder of Khun Vichai`s legacy at both the football club and the wider city of Leicester. Known as "The Boss" and "The Possible Man" Khun Vichai and Srivaddhanaprabha family created, and continue to create, in Vichai`s memory, a culture of togetherness and support between players, fans, owners and the community that is the envy of many teams around the world.

FA Cup & Community Shield Display At King Power Stadium

In February 2022 fans of Leicester City Football Club where invited to the Clubs Megastore to see the FA Cup and Community Shield trophies, up close and have their photos taken with them. I visited the Leicester City Foxes Megastore at the King Power stadium to see the FA Cup and Community Shield, at an event for fans organised by the club. My film begins with scenes fans will know from match days featuring various views of the stadium, before heading into the Megastore to see the trophies themselves. The well known FA Cup team photo featuring Kasper Schmeichel holding the trophy aloft at Wembley provides the background to the two pieces of silverware.

Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden Opening Day

A look around the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden on opening day. On the one year anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Leicester City Chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha his Pilot co-pilot, and several members of his staff, the football club opened a memorial garden for fans and anyone wishing to reflect and remember. We begin by entering the garden alongside the first few fans and lay tributes beneath framed portraits of Khun Vichai and those who lost their lives before following the path around the garden taking in some of the various topiary and other features of the garden. My film ends at the well marking the spot where the helicopter came down.
