AeroSPARX display over Leicester

On the evening of Friday 13th, a day long associated with strange occurrences, bright lights appeared above the city of #Leicester performing an aerial dance across the sky. People below wondered what was happening as pyrotechnic flares shot from the Unidentified Flying Objects, calls where made to law enforcement by those trying to work out what the strange lights above them might be. The sky ballet continued as phones and cameras where pointed skyward, all too soon they disappeared. People where clueless as tweets and messages filled social media speculation was rife, first contact with aliens or maybe falling space debris re-entering the atmosphere where all suggested causes. In the end the explanation was far more down to earth, it was a aerobatic stunt display team named AeroSPARX helping BBC Radio Leicester launch their new drivetime show. On board high above the city where presenters Jimmy and Summaya experiencing a very different perspective of Leicester.

BBC A Word 1 Year Anniversary - BBC Leicester

I was asked to create a design to feature on a cake and on social media etc celebrating the BBC Radio Leicester Arts show The A Word`s first year on air. The design needed to be simple and easily reproduced with clarity on the icing of the cake so the presenters faces where stylized. The A Word logo created previously by myself was adapted to fit the design and has gained some musical notes to highlight the coverage of new music by local artists that the A Word is also known for.    The end result a cake with my design on top for everyone to enjoy.  Bonus: BBC Presenters. Geeta Pendse And Andy Pierce (AKA: Andy P The Soul Man) hold a card I made wishing the A Word a happy 1st Anniversary on air.

Newbold Verdon at the Movies. Branding, Marketing & Promotion

The village of Newbold Verdon in Leicestershire held it`s first ever Scarecrow trail in May 2018 and I was tasked by its organizing committee with branding the event on a theme of "At The Movies". The posters had to be adaptable for an initial "in village" call for entries both in print and online via social media etc where a hashtag #NVScarecrowTrail was used for residents who wanted to share their progress etc. The "call for entries" poster was followed by a more general campaign aimed at the wider public encouraging visitors to the event.       The main event poster was distributed throughout the local area to encourage visitors and prominently featured the event hashtag #NVScarecrowTrail asking visitors to tweet their photos taken at the event.      The Call for Entries poster was displayed within the village to encourage residents and the community to register their interest in creating a scarecrow for the event, A QR code was in...

BBC Radio Leicester - Clueless Festive Specials

A couple of vintage style movie posters designed by myself to promote special editions of the popular Sunday morning BBC Radio Leicester show Clueless on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. A design for the Christmas Eve edition of Clueless taking is influences from the movie posters for musicals such as White Christmas & Holiday Inn. The second design (and second special show) takes as it`s influence a style reminiscent of Hitchcock thrillers with a clock face dominating the left side of the design and dynamic red CLUELESS lettering at an angle dominating the right side giving a sense of time ticking away and action a theme regular listeners to the show will be familiar with. Listeners will also be pleased to know that both shows resulted in the presenters (Ady Dayman, Monica Winfield and Dale Neal) finding the treasure.
