Street Art In Leicester - Banksy ?

Could artwork under motorway bridge be Banksy ?.  In December 2020 Street Art appeared under a Leicestershire bridge, the work bore many similarities with the work of well known international Street artist Banksy. The work depicts the evolution of man ending with a businessman in a suit holding a briefcase and wearing a blue mask that provides the only colour on an otherwise black and white stenciled artwork. My short film and images take a look at the work and it's surrounding area and invites the viewer to decide for themselves if the work is by the artist or not. At the time of publication the artwork has not yet been claimed by the artist on his Instagram account as is the usual for his works so the question remains, Banksy ?.

The Island Race - Anglesey Half Marathon

The Island Race - Anglesey Half Marathon takes place in North Wales and starts on the Menai Suspension Bridge which runners cross before following a 13.10 Mile coastal road route to Beaumaris Castle and back. My video features the pre-race atmosphere at the start line, the race itself and some coverage of the beginning of the route before ending at the finish line in the town of Menai Bridge as the runners complete the race. Images follow.

Filmed at various points along the banks of the River Thames in London, this short film explores peoples patterns of movement and their interactions with the structures around them Featuring a number of well known landmarks such as the Millennium Bridge, St Pauls Cathedral and Tower Bridge (complete with Olympic rings), The piece attempts to capture a portrait of the area during one day (30.06.2012) as the capital prepares to host the Olympic games in 2012. Keep a look out for art works Hymn by Damien Hurst and Kurt Perschke's Red Ball Project.

The Scots Guardsman

My Third Short film from my trip to Scotland features Steam Locomotive The Scotts Guardsman crossing the forth rail bridge. I have given the film a vintage feel and heightened the contrast to give it a movie like  quality and the accurately portray the grandeur and size of the bridge in relation to the powerful steam locomotive which is dwarfed by its metal structure. look out for the large boat passing under the bridge at the beginning and the unique pattern the steam forms in the sky as it passes through the bridges structure !.

Ironbridge

Ironbridge Originally uploaded by lsphotos Trying out the 16:9 aspect ratio setting on my camera, it creates a long thin image that I think in this image works quite well. I`ve also changed the contrast to give a HDR style to the image highlighting the blue of the bridge and making the lettering stand out. The Iron Bridge crosses the River Severn at the Ironbridge Gorge, by the village of Ironbridge, in Shropshire, England. It was the first arch bridge in the world to be made out of cast iron, a material which was previously far too expensive to use for large structures. However, a new blast furnace nearby lowered the cost and so encouraged local engineers and architects to solve a long-standing problem of a crossing over the river. from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Iron_Bridge
