  A street art collaboration between Leicester's Graffwerk and Global Street Art to promote the Netflix documentary Untold UK Jamie Vardy . On a wall alongside the Haymarket Bus Station in Leicester , a large artwork has been unveiled featuring former Leicester City Football Club legend Jamie Vardy in the form of an action figure with various shenanigans and accessories, including an energy drink, a broken corner flag, and a football. The Vardy figure is seen cupping his hands behind his ears, a pose he is known for doing on the pitch to fans in the stands. The work itself is a promotion for the Netflix documentary Untold UK, telling the story of Jamie’s career highlights, and As Seen On Netflix is written large on the packaging.   Every year a small patch of ancient woodland alongside J21 of the M1 and a short walk from Fosse Shopping Park is carpeted in a sea of Blue Bluebell flowers creating a natural oasis in the middle of a busy built up urban environment.

The entrance to the now disused and filled in Southgates pedestrian underpass in the centre of Leicester has become one of leicester`s increasing number of legal street art zones, areas where street artists can practice their art in a safe and legal way, whilst also turning areas of the city that would otherwise become forgotten, into ever evolving open air galleries.

A look at street art created by artists along Leicester`s Short Street. Leicester is fast becoming the place to be for street artists, a previously unremarkable shortcut from the city center to St margarets Bus Station short street has been transformed with bight artwork on both sides of the street. The street now features works by many artists and even contains a portrait of internationally popular comedy character Mr Bean !. My film takes a look at some of the artworks and aims to give an idea of the scale but a visit to this hidden Leicester gem is thoroughly recommended.

I visited St Margaret`s Underpass in Leicester which in association with GraffHQ, Graffwerk and Leicester City Council has been recently (at time of publication) designated a Legal painting site or "Community Zone"  for artists to create Street Art. In my film I take a look at some of the work on display in the atmospheric location and we see artists like BenZArt working on their pieces as the traffic of the city passes overhead.

A brief to design a poster for an 80`s themed disco fund-raiser for Leicester charity Menphys. The poster needed to evoke the themes and style of the 1980`s yet still needed to appear modern when displayed alongside a number of other posters on a noticeboard etc. The poster design needed to appeal to a target demographic of teens through to adults and fit alongside other posters and literature used by the charity. The final outcome is a largely text based layout with a striking Red colour scheme (the charity colour) with the main details offset at a 45 degree angle creating a dynamic form that takes its cue mainly from the majority of 1980`s electronics packaging.
