Tour De Moon, Moon Convoy

The Moon Convoy rolls into Leicester as part of the Tour De Moon festival bringing with it a fully sustainable armada of vehicles a giant squid named Archie and a large Red telephone to "talk to the moon" among other interactive experiences. The event hopes that by creating a physical space for people to come together as a community, new ideas will be born. The Tour De Moon festival invites you to ask why can’t we imagine a new way of thinking/dreaming/doing?. My film features a look at the Moon Convoy part of the festival and starts with look at the nine meter long archie the squid before moving on to the moon tunnel and giant phone. One Giant Leap Festival - Overview Effect Projection

Part of the One Giant Leap festival in Leicester, Overview Effect is a outdoor spectacle celebrating the achievements of the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. After the saturn rockets launch we join the astronauts on the surface of the moon, in doing so we appreciate their shift in understanding about the fragile planet we live on. The film, projected onto the back of Leicester`s historic Corn Exchange, asks us to celebrate what the human race can do but also asks the cost of the problems we chose to ignore. With climate change a "HOT TOPIC ISSUE" right now Metro Boulot Dodo`s film is as relevant today as when the apollo astronauts set foot on the moons surface 50 years ago.

One Giant Leap Fest - BrickLive®, Outer Space Lego® trail

2019 marks 50 years since the Apollo missions #OneGiantLeapLeicester festival celebrates this anniversary with a number of events around the city. The Outer-Space trail by BRICKLIVE® takes visitors on a Space Race of their own to locate 15 LEGO® Brick Models of various rockets astronauts and more placed throughout the city centre. Put on your moon boots and blast off as we rub shoulders with Lego Neil Armstrong in Highcross, See the Space Shuttle ready for lift off at New Walk Museum and see the entire planet earth at the King Richard III visitor centre. There's lots to see and my film only shows a few of the pieces so your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to boldly go and find all 15 pieces.

Please Note: this video includes loud sounds, music and moving and flashing images throughout. In The Great Exhibition: SPACE: God, the Universe and Everything visitors to Lichfield Cathedral are treated to a stunning visual spectacle inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing. Created by the Luxmuralis artistic collaboration, the exhibition features sound and light installations that transform the internal space of the Cathedral, look out for a Saturn V rocket and a famous footprint among the projections and listen for some famous speeches in the audio mix.
