And…Breathe, By Pif-Paf -Journeys Festival International

AND...BREATHE By Pif-Paf is an immersive sound and light installation exploring Breath, Breathing both alone and together and encourages interaction and mindfulness. The artists invite you to take a moment and step into a world of light, sound and connection. In my film I explore the piece initially by day but more deeply at an evening "Twilight Session" in which the lighting in the cathedral is lowered to give the lights on the piece more prominence and create a even more immersive experience, with King Richard III`s final resting place alongside the atmosphere and setting is certainly one of contemplation. The piece responds to the movement of people etc as they move through the space and through its arches neatly mirroring the arches of the cathedrals architecture.

Where There Is Light, Leicester - Journeys Festival International

A look at the art installation Where There Is Light at Leicester Cathedral part of the Journeys Festival International. Where There is Light, a sound and light installation by Squidsoup, shares the voices and stories of communities from across the UK. Interviews took place online during 2020, the small lights that make up the work respond as those interviewed are asked the question "where do we find light in our lives ?". Commissioned by ArtReach for Journeys Festival International, with funding from Arts Council England and BID Leicester. Also funded by The Organ Project and Fratton Big Local, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
