Streets in the Leicestershire village of Barwell have once again been transformed by a group of knitters into an Easter wonderland. Street furniture & fixtures have been wrapped in a variety of colourful knitted Easter characters from Easter chicks through to life sized rabbits and more. The splash of colour has brought springtime & a smile to visitors and residents of the village alike. My film aims to show a few of the creations but a visit is highly recommended.

A brief to design a poster for an 80`s themed disco fund-raiser for Leicester charity Menphys. The poster needed to evoke the themes and style of the 1980`s yet still needed to appear modern when displayed alongside a number of other posters on a noticeboard etc. The poster design needed to appeal to a target demographic of teens through to adults and fit alongside other posters and literature used by the charity. The final outcome is a largely text based layout with a striking Red colour scheme (the charity colour) with the main details offset at a 45 degree angle creating a dynamic form that takes its cue mainly from the majority of 1980`s electronics packaging. Creative Boom (a creative industry online magazine) have just had a big re-design of both their main site and regional hubs and I designed the banner for the Leicester hub. As Leicester is well known for its past as a major player in the material manufacturing business I`ve based the design around a swirl of cloth framing the instantly recognisable Leicester landmark The Clock Tower.
