The Urban Astronaut - Leicester City Festival

The Urban Astronaut landed in Leicester City Center as part of the city festival 2017. The dramatic performance explores the environmental issue of air pollution, one of the most serious problems affecting the environment today. The astronaut performs spins and jumps suspended up to 20ft in the air giving the appearance of weightlessness. A traveler from a future version of earth, which has been destroyed and made inhospitable through air pollution he has returned to the past to find an answer to a future crisis. My film joins the astronaut as he travels through the City center passing the clock tower (a well known Leicester landmark) before arriving on Humberstone gate where he may find an answer to his crisis. My video filmed in the early morning shows the tower from various angles and demonstrates how the tower dominates the Parisian skyline so spectacularly, It also almost seems to glow against the blue sky in the morning sun.
